Over the past week, I have seen constant errors with the Crunchyroll app on Apple TV.

1) Autoplay does not always work
2) Autoplay will jump to different anime in my queue
3) Autoplay will replay the episode I just finished viewing

I have reset my Apple TV, logged in and out of the app, but nothing seems to work.

Is there any plan to have this fixed, or am I just going to have to stream anime from an alternate website?

Oh Apple TV, how horrible you are. My parents used to have an Apple TV at home and they were constantly calling me to help them get it to work. It wasn't until recently my brother just said, "Screw It", unplugged the thing, and put his old Xbox 360 in it's place, and hasn't had a problem since.

Is anything else working on the Apple TV? Have you tried any of the other Apps such as Youtube, Netflix, or Hulu? I'm not sure if you have any other subscriptions that you could try, but the other options I have heard work are to either check for a system update or reset your internet settings (meaning re-enter your internet settings as if you where setting up a new connection).

The other thing it could be is the Crunchyroll app itself and for that, I am not sure what you would need to do. You could always try contacting Crunchyroll (probably through email) and letting them know the problems and see what they tell you do.

My Apple TV has been doing the same thing as Musicman1231, for about the same time frame. I don't have trouble with the other applications, just Crunchyroll. I've just been putting up with it, but now decided to do some research. I haven't tried the reset yet. Will be doing it today.

I thought there'd be more people having the same issue, but it doesn't seem like it.

I'm also having Apple TV auto playback problems on Crunchyroll specifically. I started using the app two weeks ago. I've had a hard time trying new series because it will either replay the episode I just watched or auto play from newest to oldest. It seemed flaky at first, but now it never does the intended auto play function. I'd rather have the episodes listed from oldest to newest if it would fix some of these problems.

Has anyone heard from staff about this?

Me too. Auto play queues up either the same episode, or the one before, or some other show in my queue. Also, somehow got logged out and can't log back in. My login and password is correct, but apple tv keeps telling me it's not. So frustrating. Everything works on the computer, cell phone and tablet, but not apple tv. Other apps (like netflix) work fine on apple tv. Little help here?

For the login issues, CR seems to be having server issues in general the past 2 nights. I have been getting timeout errors on various parts of the website tonight.

On my Apple TV I was logged out but was able to log back in. I always use my email to login, have you tried that instead of your username?

I'm having the issue with auto-play where it will occasionally want to play the same episode or a different show. With Fairy Tail and One Piece I am currently watching both catalog episodes and the latest episode on Friday and Saturday respectively, so not sure if that is confusing it.

Yep. Tried both user name and email. No dice.

I've been having similar problems, but it seems to follow a very specific pattern:

The video that gets chosen to play next is the one that follows the episode that I watched BEFORE the current one.

I'll explain by using letters for series and episode designators in parentheses:

I call up the app on the AppleTV.

I watch A(1), the first episode of series A.

Nothing autoplays after that, because I didn't watch any episode before I watched A(1).

I select B(latest) from the menu, and watch that.

Autoplay then picks A(2), because that comes after A(1).

When A(2) finishes, autoplay doesn't play anything, because there is no episode that follows B(latest).

I select A(3) from the menu, and watch that.

When A(3) finishes, autoplay plays A(3) AGAIN - because it's what comes after A(2), the episode I watched before this.

I haven't tried logging out and back in yet; I just started looking for a solution to the problem now.

ETA - Nope, logging out and back in doesn't solve it.
