I rather enjoy being alone. I get to fix all the food I like, work on crafts when I like, run my robot when I like..

I do enjoy dating when I find the right person, but I tend not to worry about having someone else around when I'm single, I guess.

Most of the time, like Phersu, I prefer being alone. Only because it is even tougher to be with people. Not that I don't spend time with others, but I have to admit I try to avoid it. Sometimes I stay away from people because it is too much for me. I feel as if I don't fit in with anyone. I don't think I am some unique snowflake or something. The problem is I have difficulty connecting with others and getting them to understand me. I have been hurt a lot in the past, which makes me distrustful. Unfortunately, when I occasionally let my guard down, my trust has been broken again .

But at least I always have a lot going on in my mind. When I would rather be alone, I use the time to be be productive and creative. Or I waste the time reading manga, watching anime or playing games. Either way, I try to make use of my time alone. I still believe that there are a lot of good people out there, but I have encountered a limited amount of them.

We can be alone together.

I have lived alone for few years, and I'm been totally fine with it. Mostly because even I'm been alone, I haven't really felt lonely. State of mind I guess.

I thought you were addressing me all those times you were talking and we were the only two there, you on your bed and me in your closet.

Well I'm currently living with my parents (yep I'm one of those people), so I guess I'm not technically alone. That said, I pretty much lost touch with all of my friends a long time ago, and have no social life to speak of. Really it's not so bad. The only time I kind of regret it is when I see a game come out that's more fun with multiplayer (like the new Super Smash Bros) and I remember I don't have anyone to play with me.
