I sound like Lana Del Rey mixed with Marine (& the Diamonds) with a bit of Billie Joe Armstrong.
Like wtf voice.
It's way different from how I sound when I normally talk.

I'm an ok singer. But my ex-girlfriend is a great singer- gospel mostly. And learning to sing well really depends on your capability to hear and mimic tones. The best way to learn to sing is to try and mimic someone you like. Maybe start with someone who sings basic tunes and try to match their pitch. But ultimately, yes it's possible for a bad singer to become a good singer. Actually, there's a girl who was tone deaf and somehow became an AMAZING singer. She's a gospel singer in my area so I've heard her live and she is AWESOME!

I sing in the car all the time and I do pretty consistently well on Hard-Expert difficulty in Rock Band (granted I haven't played in a while). So I don't think I'm too off-pitch, but getting up the nerve to sing in front of people is another story.

I can sing well,I've been out of practice for a few months and my voice doesn't have as much range anymore. With two weeks of everyday practice again I should be able to sing as good as before. I think everyone has to start somewhere, with enough work and maybe some singing lessons even people with bad sounding voices can get themselves up to a fair sounding voice.

I sing and play piano for a living, and I'm not starving or broke, so my guess is Yup. ^^ Hearing your own voice via recording is always weird, though.

I can sing pretty good (but that's just me, idgaf what anyone else says haha). Like, I can sing in key, got a vibrato thing going on, can do decent runs and riffs.

As a baritone I can sing, okay, like on key perfectly, sure, but do I have a power or good range? No but if I trained maybe I could get good.
But Not a singer

I've heard real singers and they practice and train and work their butts off to get perfect clean vocals.

I do believe anyone can sing with enough practice and training, but a good singing voice, that's unique and a born with luck.

But now a days who cares if you can sing, it doesn't matter, auto-tune does all the work.

Taylor Swift sucks at singing, so does Britney Spears.

Miley Cyrus is better at singing then Taylor and Britney.

I can, I was in choir in High School. I was a baritone but if I tried I could sing with the altos....

Anyone can sing but a lot of people should not be listened to....
Seriously, it's a matter of being able to hear well and "carry a tune." Interestingly, karaoke is not a bad way to find out if a person can sing. You have to be able to hit the notes and if you do not have very good intonation, being able to sing the notes you hear accurately, you will not be able to sing very well.

All the training in the world will not help if you are tone-deaf.

The thing is to sing regardless if you are good at it or not, especially if you enjoy it. Who cares what others think!

(That is what LOUD stereos are for, to sing along with.)

I like to sing while playing guitar, although I'm not particularly good at it.

lol, this is random but your post reminds me of how someone stole a photo of the oasis and the police put out a poster looking for info on thief; "some might say" he was an oasis fan.

i get that it has nothing to do with your post lol

Nope, voice is too deep that it'll crack when going to higher pitches. Unless I'm singing with a bunch of my guy friends, then ofc because our voices tend to sync so it doesn't sound so weird.
