Not really, but I'd rather play as a character that looks like me to feel a bit more immersed. Either that, or I make the most goofy looking character I possibly can.

I don't think so. I usually play as a female character in pokemon games while my sister always plays as the male character.

Nah I don't think so. Like most people, I usually go with the character that appeals to me the most.

Not at all. In fact, I find it pretty refreshing when given the opportunity to save the world as someone else other than "johnny white guy".

Hell no! If the game gives me the option to play as a girl you bet your ass I will be playing as a girl unless the character models for the female are plain dull like COD such little effort was put into the female models

Nah. I like to mix it up when I play things. Creating a character that's different than what I am is a fun opportunity to think outside the box and do something unique.

nope not weird at all, and take borderlands for example the girls were imo the better skilled players to be.

but if its just cosmetic reasons i dont see it being weird at all. if you are roleplaying as a character be who ever you want to be. in skyrim i was a lizard so who cares if your a guy or girl

I wouldn't say so, usually I like to represent my character as a male due to it symbolizing and addressing other gamers that I myself am a guy. At least initially. Though that being said, I wouldn't hate or think low of someone who would rather play as a woman/girl. It doesn't really show anything important other than gender.

Nah. I usually go with a male character but in some occasions play a female. I.E Female Barbarian in Diablo 3 or making a female character in Samurai Warriors 4.

I don't think anyone should be criticized for the gender they choose to play, it's not a big deal honestly lol

I like playing as a female ruler in Crusader Kings II. If you don't know what Crusader Kings II is, it's a medieval ruler simulator, with a high amount of realism. Which means that Being a female ruler in CK2 is extremely challenging.

Nope. Personally I think having a female protagonist in a game is awesome too.

Not at all.
I just choose the design I like the most, sometimes is female, sometimes male.
