I was meeting some friends from work at this "fancy" café once "speciality coffee"... Worst $4.00 I've ever spent. barely 12oz of weak hipster bilge water.

A few of the vehicles I've purchased have left me unimpressed as well.

October Q box.... $25 + 13% GST + $10 shipping.
Only three items where worth while. Hello Kitty socks, Korean makeup, and a necklace. Everything else was stupid. I feel ripped off.

I bought a brand new Xbox One with Kinect, Forza5, and Titanfall for only $400 thinking it was a great deal. I hate it, they went backwards with the Xbox, I wish I never upgraded.

A $50 korean pressing of a japanese CD I bought off amazon that never shipped and was unable to be refunded. Worst. Purchase. Ever.
The Chinese legit pressing was $30 and shipped effortlessly. Truly a waste of money on that first CD....

You're just not doing it right

Mine was from a Kickstarter project. My reward tier granted me a sketch. Asked for a particular artist and was told this was fine. Six months later, after no word from them, I was told the artist had now declined. Too late to get my money back from Kickstarter. Had to select another artist and even then, it was on a medium sized shikishi board.

WTF? What kickstarter runs for over six months? And who the hell would pay again?!

A fair few makeup products - particularly foundations and mascaras.
Faery: Legends of Avalon (I literally had to force myself to finish this game, not worth the $2.50 it was worth when it was on sale)
Stupid spontaneous clothing choices
Probably more that I can't think of right now

I didn't have to pay again.

Sketch reward tiers for all the anime and Japanese video KS projects work a bit differently. For example, one of the projects I'm supporting now, Go! Samurai, has a sketch reward tier and an ETA of April 2015. The KS in question was for "Manga Reborn". I was informed that all artists whose manga were being sponsored by the project would be eligible to select for the reward. I wanted an old 1970s artist, Machiko Satonaka, to draw. I was told that this was fine, so I pledged to get the sketch. The ETA of my reward was December 2013. Shortly after I donated, I was then informed that only four artists from the project were now willing to draw. No explanation was provided as to why Satonaka would not draw. I responded by saying that I would be willing to wait for Satonaka if her schedule was too busy to allow it.

In March, after hearing nothing for a couple months, I contacted MR and was told that she would not draw but I could have a print of her work instead. I was not happy. I then requested if it were possible to have a sketch from another artist and, despite having a heart attack earlier in the year, he was agreeable to it. Almost 10 months later after the project's estimated delivery date, I received the sketch. I'm very thankful to Shuho Sato for being such a pro. I just wish that MR was a bit more honest with me. If an artist isnt willing to draw, fine, but don't wait four months to tell me that.
