Though gotta say the way the scene was initially handled was....odd. At first it was played for laughs, but then it quickly got serious. Talk about mood whiplash.

when was uri-tan death played for a joke??

i thought it was very serious in universe

The scenes before it like when the Rat stabbed through her hat and threw her. It came off jokingly but once they got back to the real world, she was badly injured and eventually perished.

When she got stabbed in her pig hat they quickly cut to everyone having the typical gag shocked look on their face.

I thought it would be a gag as well. Like one of those "thank goodness she missed my head and only my hat got stabbed" moments followed by sighs of relief and laughing at how silly and lucky it was.

Then, "perished" happened and my jaw dropped. The ED.

Episode 3

What started out as Nya-tan going on a shopping trip and attempting to get an advance for a job that she was never hired for ends up with a serious battle to the death against the rat that ends up with the boar getting killed. I was just not expecting that to happen and seeing that Chu-tan is out for blood against the cat clan that she will do anything to make sure Nya-tan is crushed. That came dropping like an atomic bomb there and in unexpected fashion. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch more of this, but that is just some terrible writing to suddenly bring this up.

Well it isn't like Chu-tan killing others is a sudden thing. We saw her vaporize that poor tanuki girl(I think it was a tanuki) prior. Of course it is only now clear that that was in fact what she did to her(before this episode it just looked like she beat her, but seeing how they vaporize upon death it is fair to assume Chu-tan killed the tanuki and most likely killed all of the other Eto-musume in the ETM12 aside from the rest of the Eto-shin and Nya-tan.....well....now all of other Eto-shin minus Uri-tan and Nya-tan.

To be honest, I thought I'd get tired of Nya-tan with her naiveness but I'm really liking her character. It was a big surprise when they just killed one of them and in the 3rd episode too. Great anime so far.

So were you trying to make me feel bad? I almost felt as bad as when Kisaragi died... Which was nothing. You can only appreciate how bad a series is when it tries to be serious after not accomplishing anything in the first 2 episodes while trying to be funny. Didn't Kisaragi die in episode 3 as well?

My feels are dead. First Fate/stay night and then Gunslinger Stratos.

Episode 4

So Uri-tan is still alive. She died and she came back to life. Given the tone of this show, I should have expected her to be back. That last episode really caught everybody off guard.

Anyway, the next featured character us the rabbit, and she's the CEO of a production studio and she is out to help Nya-tan get exposed without being a member of the zodiac. But of course it comes at a high price, one that can be paid off by beating her in a battle. The rabbit has super-fast reflexes, but Nya-tan knew to grab the foot based on some superstitious stuff. So with Uri-tan back, it's business as usual, and that's something that I just can't get across my head after what happened.

I think that will be enough of this show seeing that I'm not sure what it was trying to accomplish with the previous episode and everything.

Episode 4

Reincarnation....

Wait, so there won't be much deaths in this series at all then. Heh. not sure what I feel about that rabbit girl aka Producer. The fight was face palm worthy but hey, at least they managed to find out its weakness: the classic rabbit's foot.

Not going to lie though, her avatar is kinda cute

The 4th wall was barely standing after this episode
Fairly easy battle this week - erogenous zones can be such a pleasure pain.
Liked Nya-tan's phone search at the end. Simple, yet thoughtful.

I find it funny that the point of the episode was that Dog, Monkey, Neko and Rooster, all lacked a unique personality, but before this episode I would've said the same for the Rabbit.

I only just realized her Alice in Wonderland theme this episode

the meta humor is still hilarious. good ep.

Episode 4: Eyes of a Rabbit, Ears of a Rabbit

Well, it was kind of expected desu desu. Kind of funny how it all played out though. It's good to see that she's fine.

Any ways it was a pretty good episode, that fake Hollywood Micheal Bay explosion entrance was hilarious.

Alice in Wonderland reference? Not a playboy bunny? Either way it was still great. The CG battles are great, its not weird and it fits the show in a good way.

So I'm guessing each Eto-Shin is going to get their own spotlight episode?
