A good episode. Good OP, Good ED. Tragic story though.

i was a bit confused on the end as to where either went, in part because i'd preferred it be unspoken. But i suppose also because, what does the void mean ? Seems a bit odd how things went about there.

But overall. Great stuff.

Both of those things have no relevance towards who actually goes where, but I guess that are things that they'll explain in detail a little further down the line.

Interesting first ep

the Arbiters are a pretty interesting bunch.

OP was funny, and ED was great.

I'm not sure how i feel about the fact that the games don't really matter. If the decision ultimately comes down to the arbiter, what's to keep people from lying to him. I wonder if we'll see an Arbiter "get it wrong"

One thing that bugged me were the faces. They seemed too long, like the gap between their mouth and nose was abnormally large.

I do hope a overarching plot starts to form though. if it takes an episodic approach it might start to drag.

So here's how its theorized by most people how they decide who gets sent where

first off why the spoilers the ep aired, and you guys aren't taking abotu anything from source material

But this was totally the vibe i got. That she just lied at the end to put her husband at ease, in which case i wondered why she got sent to the void...

that's probably the root of why the ending left me a bit unsettled

Yeah that complete 180 she made was a bit suspicious. Possibly trying to save his mind from breaking any further. The games are there just to fuck with you, it's the way you act during the games that matters.

While I agree that anybody who has gone this deep in the forum should have already seen the episode and if they haven't they deserved to get spoiled... idk i guess I'm just to nice :)

But yeah like I was saying, she got sent to the void because she was the one who had most come to terms with her death. She had essentially given up on life where as her husband had not. You can't assume that the "nicest person" is the one who gets the happier ending. You also can't assume that re-incarnation is the happier ending.

The problem is kind of they are talking about heaven and hell as where they will end up. But then it's reincarnation and the void.

In that regard. Something is not adding up. I mean otherwise if there is no real consistency for all we know they could have ended up in Valhalla or before the Skull Throne of Khorne.

So either he is lying, in which case. Whom is he lying to ? And it seems like he can't lie to those who arrive... So seems more likely he was lying to the newbie if you will.

But i imagine we'll learn more of this. Either way. very interesting and very good. But a tragic story of jealousy.

I was really surprised with how good this first episode was. I think it is going to be a good anime. There are a lot of things that are unknown as to how everything works but I assume like everything else that will be revealed to us as the show goes on. Didn't really have any expectations for it and it really surprised me, I am ready for the next one.

Emmm it seemed more to me like he can lie to the people who arrive and the girl who said "Takashi got reincarnated and Mach went to the void" was the girl who had the green hair. And although that girl wasn't in the OVA, by the fact that she said "You'll get used to it" to the girl with the purple hair who was in the OVA, it seemed to me that the girl with the green hair has actually been there longer than the girl with the purple hair, meaning that green-hair understands what happens to them and why. So lying to her would be pointless.

Although I don't think he lied to anybody. Yes he did say heaven and hell in the beginning but he may have just been using those words interchangeably with re-incarnation and the void.
