Both are short form CGI looking animations with a lot of action.

Like those magazines and websites that show celebs dressed in similar outfits, I'm asking which show with a similar theme did it better in your opinion? RWBY or Karen Senki ?

ETA: mahalo to whichever mod edited my poll title since I can't do that myself.

neither, like both.

Karen Senki has slicker animation. but RWBY has more plot.

And yet, although I stuck through the first season, I found myself pretty uninterested in RWBY--thing I liked best was the preview, tbh.

Now, I'm not sure how many episode of Karen Senki I'd have to watch before getting bored and just not watching anymore, but so far I've actually enjoyed each episode of it more than I enjoyed any episode of RWBY, so I guess when it comes down to it, in this case I prefer slick action to (dull imo) plot. Which I would say is not generally my preference. Just that Karen Senki does action better than RWBY does plot. (Better being "more according to my tastes).

RWBY seems to have flashier characters and gets decent use out of laconic phrase and attic wit. That's usually what makes a western production better in the action genre. It's also why I think Japanese shows are better with intrigue, because they do a better job with long, meandering conversations that gradually reveal new information. Laconic phrase is very ingrained into the western mindset and lends itself far better to action.

Karen Senki is fun to watch, too, though.

RWBY winning easily!

I'd go with RWBY too since the show has more characters I can relate to.

I've not seen Karen Senki. But thanks for the thread! This looks really cool. I might give it a look.

Also. I freaking love Rwby, except for one thing...

The fandom (at times)

Seriously... They can ship anything... Even if it makes no sense at all...

tried watching the karen one, could not get into it what so ever, could not identify with the characters, and the story did not appeal. RWBY for me all the way.

None of the Above, Hand drawn Key and In-between animation is a must, background and effects can be CG to an extent though.
