I would love to pass out candy but unfortunately I'm visiting my mother in Texas and in her town people are very religious (Baptist for the most part) and Halloween is discouraged. It truly saddens me that the kids around here don't get to experience the magical holiday that is Halloween.

Funny. I thought Halloween was technically a biblical holiday. Is it? Something like all hallows eve or something?

Eh I'm just going to be passing out candy and watching the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Marathon that I recorded last weekend.

I bought candy, mainly because I know no kids will come so I can hoard it all to myself :)

My church has a haunted house thing going on, so I guess I'll be going there instead of having my naps ruined by sugar monsters.

I'm not too sure of the origins, but it is a diabolical holiday where people embrace their inner evil dressing up as witches and such. And it is among the few holidays we Satanists recognize.

I have "Wait for the Trick-or-Treaters That May or May Not Come Duty" (We have an older neighborhood where starting families can't really afford to live AND my neighborhood has a bunch of VERY STEEP hills so we don't get very many Trick-or-Treaters). Last year we had 2 very small groups and that was it.
