The official word from the creators is that the events of season 1, prompted the disbandment of the bender council and the election of a non-bender as president of republic city. So basically they dealt with the whole thing of screen, not really the best choice, but the issue is more or less closed.

Remember Ozai remember Zhao remember Long Feng. They were more simple villains who had nothing going for them then their grand ambitions. I would honestly make a case for even Azula because what made her remarkable were not her motives but her actions. The villains in Legend of Korra in my opinion are far more complex since each of them had an ideology the believed. Even Amon held to his believes he just happened to be a bender.

Click "wrote" to see the quote. Its special short hand quoting.

Remember Calendar Man? A Batman Villain who only does Crimea on specifically special dates like Christmas or Halloween?
No? Its because he sucks.

Do we judge Batman upon Calander Man or the Joker?

An Ideal can be a part of a character, but it doesn't make a good character. That's an accumulation of a multitude of factors that include motivation, action, and conflict.

Super evil is not an Ideal. Wanting to see the world change into chaos...is not an ideal. It's a generic not-gonna-happen bad guy plan. Its a lack of character. It doesn't represent some greater vision or out of reach philosophy. It's generic take over the world bullshit. A downgrade of the previous series.

Aang never wanted to be the avatar. He spent an entire series juggling his desires and his duty. That's a conflict that doesn't require Super-Bad Firelord to exist.

Korra doesn't have a conflict outside of evil world smashing Bad guy, and that speaks poorly about Korra as a character.

The reasons are pretty simple. She wants to keep the dissenters quiet, as well as she needs more workers for her projects, whatever they may be. Her ideals make perfect sense and she's very calculated and smart. That doesn't make her any less evil. She's also right in that she's helping to bring order to the Earth Kingdom.

LoK has great villains, I'm surprised you don't see this.

I'm surprised that you do not realize how poor these villains are.

Why are people opposed to her rule? Because she's the fucking villain and the villigers read the script?

Why does she want to rule? Was she so unsatisfied with the shitty government that she stepped up to control it herself? Why are people opposed to this? Is it against tradition? Are they bringing that up?

What are her ideals? Don't just use "ideals" like it's an acronym. Explain why it makes perfect sense.

Im not talking about "more or less X" with Evil as the X.

I'm asking what does she want, why doss she want, why do people agree or disagree, and why should or shouldn't they stop her.

Closed? What about the police force? Are they benders and nonbenders?

What about the rest of the world? Does any nation have a non bender leader anymore?

What about the dissent? Benders had their powers stolen and then were imprisoned by a huge mass of nonbending citizens! That's terrifying! What did they do with their powers back? Kill people?
What about the bending gang members?
What about moustache? Did he just die?

Shit is not OK in republic city. They swept that story under the rug after they realized it was waaaaay above their writing ability. Too morally grey, so they dropped that shit.

And that is not cool.

I would agree that tensions would remain, but there is no longer any basis for a movement protesting lack of non-bender representation anymore. Tensions that remain would be the business of the police not the avatar.

I need to be clear that I do NOT think that this issue was handled well, but it can't really be fixed at this point.

They only worked on some of the episodes in Season 2 in this series.

But if you're wondering what else they've worked on...

Tokyo Ghoul
Naruto/Naruto: Shippuden
Bleach

as well as a bunch of other series.
But those three (or more specifically, Naruto and Bleach) are probably where you've heard their name before.
