I'm thinking of making a darksiders death cosplay or monster hunter rathalos armor cosplay but I don't know how to make armor. Any advice?

I know a lot of people use Foam, Wonderflex and Fiberglass.
There are a lot of steps and processes to make armor.
I would just look it up on Google or Youtube.
Also remember making armor can get expensive.
(In case you were hoping it would be cheap).

It's a bit pricy, but I'm really starting to love foamed PVC / sintra sheets. http://junkerscosplay.blogspot.com/2014/07/pegasus-seiya-saint-seiya-anime-expo.html shows how he did Saint Seiya armor with them. Really great for large armor plates and such, since it's pretty tough on its own, no need for extra supports.

Another good option is Worbla - you heat it up and can reshape it, even turn it into glue for itself - KamuiCosplay has a quick example video over at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZl65FRUZnw that might get you started.

I used to do everything in craft foam sheets, coated with fiberglass. http://www.crunchyroll.com/user/MakotoKamui/pages/BoostGear is how I made my current gauntlet. I think this is probably the cheapest option, but it's also a lot more work.

Get thin sheets of copper, heat them until even softer and shape with hands.
