I tried the beard and moustachioed look for a few years.... Got tired of the constant itchy, hairy, and occasional nasty pulls and yanks....... Got rid of that "girl friend" but still didn't like the itchiness and the constant finding bits of food in strange places.... So I shaved... Never regretted it.
I also had a tendency to chew on my mustache when it got a little long...

I also tried a goatee... Not only did I look like "Evil Cartman" I was made blatantly aware that the operative word in goatee is GOAT.... Now that I'm too old to let things like that bother me, I still don't think I'll be growing a beard... I am a bit fearful that the grey hairs will create a "skunk" like pattern....

Maybe I'm not old enough.

I just got hair cut and shave. I guess around this time I just can't stand the huge beard and mustache and it has to go.

I'll post up a beard on December 1st, I shaved last on the the 31st so it'll be exactly one month of growth.

I'd love to have a beard but my face is too unmanly to have a beard apparently.
Just have side burns and it cuts before my chin : /

You call me out for shaving, to which I say you can do just fine since you can't grow facial hair in the first place. But, since I can....I get to shave all year long, whenever I want.

That's what being a man means. Getting to shave whenever you want. Regardless of November. It's a stupid month anyways.

If I don't shape it up every other day or so, I start to turn into what looks like a homeless alcoholic that lives in a Baltimore back alleyway.

I'm seeing a lot of complaining in this thread, but I'm not convinced you all are realizing that the point of this is to raise money and awareness for mens health concerns. We don't get pretty ribbons and enormous amounts of funding for issues like prostate cancer or testicular cancer after all.

I grow a truly horrible looking mustache, but in honor of my grandfather who died of prostate cancer I'll keep doing it every November while sending a little money to the cause as well as to keep raising awareness.

Lol.. My junior year in highschool, during November... "Yo, is this *gestures at chin* for no shave-November?" Me: "more like, no-shave forever " lmao.. I haven't shaved for about... Maybe 26 months now..? It seems like my facial hair just stopped growing at its current length Lmao.. I could grow a full out beard my freshman year.. I shaved like, once a week.. I always kept a goatee, and just shaved what grew around it during each week.. Anyone who thinks having a beard is irritating, all I have to say.. Is that it is for about the first 3-5 weeks, but after that, it isn't quite as bad.. :D

^ This. It seems a lot of people here don't really understand the point of movember. It's also really just a mustache you're supposed to grow not a beard.
