I just shave every week, my facial hair takes about a week to grow, but I can't stand facial hair, I hate looking at my self with a beard.

So it's essentially Movember? Movember has been around since 2004. This is a good cause but they need to find an idea that doesn't already exist.

I'm seeing a lot of complaining in this thread, but I'm not convinced you all are realizing that the point of this is to raise money and awareness for mens health concerns. We don't get pretty ribbons and enormous amounts of funding for issues like prostate cancer or testicular cancer after all.

I grow a truly horrible looking mustache, but in honor of my grandfather who died of prostate cancer I'll keep doing it every November while sending a little money to the cause as well as to keep raising awareness.

I'm not sure you realize that none of them do it raise money or awareness. All three of my roommates doing it, don't even know why. Not donating to charity or anything. Just not shaving because it's what everyone else is doing. Seriously, Hairy Balzack.

I might let mine grow out just a tad more. I alwayse keep mine short & nicely trimmed since i work around food. If I let it get too long, i would have to wear a bears net & that thing looks annoying

Meh I haven't shaved my goatee for 2 years. Maybe I'll do the odd ball thing and grow the Fu Manchu to add to it... yeah bet that would look awesome on me

Even if I didn't shave for a month the growth wouldn't be significant enough to notice lmao. It would take me years to grow a Pringles 'stache.

If I didn't shave for a month, my facial hair would fuse with my chest hair in the middle of the night sometime around the 27th day of not saving. Upon rising on the 28th day, I would unknowingly lift my head in joy only to rip out a huge patch of chest hair by the roots.

It's hard enough preventing the hair on my head from growing long enough to fuse together with my back hair thus creating one awesome seamless hairy mane down to my rump.

So I should probably shave tomorrow.

This month is beard measuring month - unfortunately I forgot to shave on Halloween so I've already messed it up. I'm still taking part though.

When I shave, I shave 9 years off my appearance. That said, I have a couple of bald spots from facial scarring and it seems they become even more obvious when hair won't grow there.
