lol

On topic in general: in past, when month was called simply Vember, there was no any funny business associated with it, but since it was renamed (by mistake, so to say) into November, its name started to be used as an excuse for all sorts of silly misbehavior.

Vember was so called in the name of the V-shaped ember, which symbolizes victory with heroic sacrifice.

How about 'no shame November'? Yeah, let's have that! Woooo, I'm gonna sleep with a bunch of desperate women I meet on Craigslist!

You must be kidding! It's no share November! This is when you have candies and you don't share them saying: "No! No-share November!"

No Share November is usually celebrated from July 15th to August 8th, it's a national tradition. *nod*nod*

Hahahaha.. This is great.

Movember (a portmanteau from the Australian-English diminutive word for "moustache", "mo", and "November") is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and other male cancers, and associated charities. The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com. The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health."

I remember my teacher didn't shave for November when I was a senior in high school.
I told him that he looked disgusting, and the next day he shaved lol.

I already go months at a time with no shaving. What is so special about November? Being lazy doesn't deserve its own month. It is a lifestyle.

I can't go much longer than a week or so without shaving. Gets too itchy.

Get told I look like a hippie / bum too.

I'm participating in it just because I am way to lazy to shave in the first place and it gives me an excuse.

Guys, keep in mind that No Shave November is to increase awareness of cancer, not just "be cool for growing a beard". If you're saying NSN is stupid, you're just ignorant of the meaning behind it because a bunch of immature man-children only do it for attention.

I'm seeing a lot of complaining in this thread, but I'm not convinced you all are realizing that the point of this is to raise money and awareness for mens health concerns. We don't get pretty ribbons and enormous amounts of funding for issues like prostate cancer or testicular cancer after all.

I grow a truly horrible looking mustache, but in honor of my grandfather who died of prostate cancer I'll keep doing it every November while sending a little money to the cause as well as to keep raising awareness.

Sorry for your loss.
