Seems like mine though!

I need to think about supporting it, but the artworks seem outstanding ^^

No. The reward tiers were pretty lame. I don't mind paying bank for artwork, but I'm not going to drop anything on a signed print. I opted to spend my money on Go Samurai instead.

Damn, I hope it reaches its goal. I remember watching a video somewhere about crowd-funding being the future for the anime industry since the production value is going up along with consumer expectations in a highly competitive, and niche market. If people can actually just chip in, these indie studios can at least step outside the normal boundaries regular anime production studios wouldn't.

I'm definitely interested in why you thought the rewards were lame? What specifically about them was bad and what do you think could be done to improve them?

Aside from hating dubstep, why isn't it your cup of tea?

Unitzer07, as I mentioned earlier, there are few artists I am willing to pay upwards of 2K to buy artwork from. These are usually well know animators, mangaka and character designers, such as Noizi Ito, etc. The animators on this project are largely French with few well known projects under their belt. The fact that they want 2K for a sketch is appalling to me, especially as the Go! Samurai project features an old but well known animator who is offering an original color sketch for $400. Which would you prefer - An original sketch done by some largely unknown French animators for $2K or an original colored sketch by an animator who worked on well known anime including Cyborg 009 for 1/5th of what the French want?

Also, this is a Kickstarter project which means there is no guarantee that I'll receive the rewards from my pledged tier but that I'll be happy with the reward. At $400, I won't be terribly bothered if the sketch isn't so hot. But at 2K, I'll be fuming if I don't get exactly what I want.

I'm a little confused as to where you're getting your numbers from? First of all there's no 2k pledge tier. Second the first time I saw an original print was at the $200 pledge tier. Those are limited edition and signed by the creator. Is that what you're talking about?

But as far as what you're saying let me make sure I understand you. Your main problem with the kickstarter was the pricing of the rewards? If you were mistakenly adding an extra zero to that 200 dollar tier, does the kickstarter become more appealing to you?

Why do you say this? What would make the kickstarter more appealing for you Cellar Door?

To me it looks interesting enough to give it a shot, but I really wonder what sort of story could be constructed out of it to make it worth watching.
