Becuase the US PSN is handled by SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) and PSN for europe is handled by SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe). One of Sony's strong sides (in this case weak sides) is that they allow all divisions of the company to make their own independent decisions without the need to make a approval with their Japanese division. And for some reason SCEE doesn't seem to want this in their PSN. If anything then ho complain to SCEE.

When did SCEE or Crunchyroll come out and say that they have refuse this app on their service?

SCEE haven't said that. But what else do think happened with the app if it's not already available. Think about it like this, Sony owns the streaming service Animax and this is just speculation. But I think they don't want competition on their own platform.

Anyhow, I can give you instructions on how to bypass Sony's PSN bs. If you want help with getting the app then PM me.

I'd like to see a UK Vita app too.

I'm going to guess it's a money problem. If it got rejected for bugs (yes it's already out but Sony are funny about that like TheOmegaForce70941 said), missing translation or whatever and needs putting right then that's going to cost money. Is there anything the community can do to help? Like cover development costs or provide translation?

I'd say Europe was similar if not a bigger market than the US when it comes to this kind of product. I don't have any quotes handy but I'm pretty sure Japanese video game developers have said Europe is more accepting of both Western and Asian culture because we're geographically in the middle.

Either way PS TV is dead on arrival in Europe without any TV apps other than Youtube.
