I played WoW back from vanilla, up until cataclysm.. I stopped shortly before Mists of Panderia came out.. I would be interested in starting up again.. Not sure how the quality of WoW is these days though.. Any longtime players have any input on that?

Played GW2 for the longest time but once all my friends started losing interest it got boring real fast. Wildstar was pretty fun, the classes are interesting and very visual but the questing is terribly boring. The group content in it is tough and fun but the devs need to work on classes to make the other builds more viable right now its all cookie cutter from what I can tell, the next update is supposed to fix that but no information on when that is supposed to be released. Anyways I'd like to play an MMO again but nothing out right now is holding my interests.

If I had to pick an anime based MMO it would be from Log Horizon's perspective. I mean the raids, dungeons, RP, and just the overall depth of the world sounds utterly fantastic.

I still really enjoy Star Wars TOR quite a bit.

The quest grinding can get kind of dull after a while. But I'm totally addicted to Flashpoints. They're difficult enough that even with my years of experience with WoW I still can find myself struggling. The experience is a lot like Vanilla/TBC was with WoW since I find myself having to pay pretty close attention to aggro and learn all the mechanics, and I have to constantly teach other members of my group how to do everything. So there can be the periodic wipe, but I enjoy that kind of challenge.

Like several others, I highly recommend FFXIV. If you do decide to pick it up, hit me up with a PM and we can arrange to play if you so wish.

Guild Wars 2 is also a good option for a more casual player, as there is no vertical progression or sub required to play. Once you buy the box, you're set for life! If you pick it up now, you can also get it half off, so there's that also.

Looks like you got plenty of suggestions, but in the future please don't post personal requests of this sort in the General Discussion forum.

As another user mentioned there are a couple of Gaming forums where folks talk a bit about games and where there are existing threads for leaving your gaming ids and saying what you're interested in playing. Here are the links in case you missed them earlier:

Console Gaming

PC Gaming

Have fun!
