I just got done watching all of the first season, & got like 5 minutes into Nisemono, & now I'm just wondering why. If I didn't catch it the first season, would it be there in the second? Why is this anime soooooo well-spoken of? Every damn five-word-or-less summary of this show is along the lines of "amazing" & "best show" blah, blah, blah...and I don't see it. It really had me hooked in the beginning when what the show actually was had not been made clear yet. And I was able to appreciate all of the surrealism the show had. But by the end of Tsubasa Cat, I just realized that this is a harem. And a love story. And something along the lines of a Mushi-shi drama.

But if I want some super-natural exorcism dramas I'll stick with Mushi-shi. I've seen better love stories than what's between Araragi & Senjougahara. And I'm not really a fan of harems at all, but the ones I've seen I've enjoyed more than this. And granted that surrealist approach to the art style, dialouge, & even characters expressions & animations is incredibly unique....that's all it is. It's unique. It doesn't change what the whole show is. It just does it differently than most of its genre. And if that's really supposed to be the main thing that sets it apart from it peers...I just feel like the surrealism isn't enough to carry what is...so far a fairly straight-forward romance of weirdos plotline, filled with pretty one-dimensional character archetypes. Am I jumping the gun & calling it too early, or if that's how I see it now is it pretty much gonna stay that way?

So........this is just another standard case of an anime being praised to glory by a fan-base that is super biased & preferential towards the anime's exact contents to begin with?

Nothing else? Noone has a rebuttal towards this? This entire forum believes this person's reply solely suffices as to what to make of this show?

It has unique and engaging animation, witty dialogue, and compelling emotional drama tied to supernatural mysteries. That said, there's no show that will fit everyone's tastes. And to answer one of your questions, if you didn't like Bake, I can't imagine you'll like Nise (even though Nise has more Shinobu...).

Not saying the op is a troll or anything but if people treated the trolls on YouTube like this rather than feeding them the comment section would be so much calmer

Nise is more pervy than Bake, so if that's already not a hook for you you can quit.

Monogatari is a really good series but I'm surprised its as popular as it is considering how much of its weight is on dialogue and character interaction. If you don't like it there's nothing wrong with that, but if you forced yourself to watch it any resentment you feel after the fact should be aimed at yourself, not the show. It didn't make you watch it after all.

Plot is a little lackluster. Stories are comprised of loosely chained together arcs that have little relevance to any overarching plot. The main character is one of the most despicable people in any anime I've seen. I could go on.

Yet still... I love this anime and would rate it in my top 5 favorites.

You already mentioned part of my reason for liking it:

surrealist approach to the art style, dialogue, & even characters expressions & animations

The symbolism in every scene is astounding. You can have 15 minutes of dialogue in this anime (it happens a lot), and I would never get bored. How the artistry and cinematography is used in storytelling is second to none compared to any anime I've seen. The anime does well to take stereotypical "one dimensional character archetypes" and still have them interact in unique and interesting ways. Character interactions are dynamic. And seeing how this anime is told around specific characters in each arch, the stories surrounding them are dynamic.

As far as harems go, I don't mind this one.

I can easily see why someone wouldn't find interest in this anime, but at the same time part of me wonders how anyone could not fall in love with it. It comes down to one thing, taste. Everyone looks for something in an anime that keeps them hooked. This one might not have it for you.
