i don't think race has any bearing on whether or not you can dance. I'm black and i have 2 left feet. i fall up the stairs, and i have NO rhythm at all. i have to work really hard to learn a dance, and don't change the tempo on me or i'm lost. i think you either have rhythm or you don't. there are plenty of asians, caucasians and latinos who can dance hip-hop well. there are some black people who couln't even follow a diagram of dance steps laid out on the floor. You ever notice how you don't see Mary J. Blige, Eryka Badu, Alicia Keys(in the one video where she isn't playing the piano she still doesn't dance)or Whitney Houston dance? they do their little 2 step sway and call it a day. I saw Mary in concert and she sat on a stool and sang most of the performance. It took Janet Jackson a couple of albums and a good choreographer before she could get her dancing on track. She didn't start dancing well until Control, her first 2 albums were total flops. And she sucked on Fame.
I first got into Rain when i saw him dance. he was so amazing i had to goggle him. i love his music,acting and dancing, but it was the dancing that hooked me. i like watching other people dance, probably because i can't dance myself.

Why should asian can't dance? thats nonsense >< I am asian And i've been dancing hiphop.. I dance in competition too get enough points to dance national..

asians are people too, anyone can learn to do anything, it sounds ignorant, but I have seen some crazy stuff, but if practice is applied anything is possable

I think we can dance. Haha I think it depends who were talking about. I'm Cambo[dian] and I can honestly say that our artists have no rhythm what so ever haha. It's sad I know, but I can face the truth. I think our classical dances are wonderful though. I can tell you now every other Asian except for my unfortunate Cambo's can dance. Wait, well that's sort of true, my cousins can break and do hip-hop. O crap I forgot my cousin's a dance instructor haha. Yea okay well most of my Cambo's can't dance haha. I do give props to the Koreans and Japanese cuz they've amazed me with their routines for years. So Yea we can dance

I know what you mean about those khmer music videos. They just sway back and forth to the beat. But there's a lot of Cambodians in the break dancing club at my school as well as other Asians, and they can definately dance:)

personally, i think that asians dance BEST at breakdaning.
