As I said basically in the OP, hot is more sexualized, cute is more clean.
Cute people are clean people, I'll keep that in mind.

This is just how I see it.

To me, someone who's cute in an attractive way is someone who makes your heart flutter from their appearance (kind of like a crush).

Someone who's "hot" or "sexy" (not terms which I really use that much) usually don't stimulate the heart - it's usually something far less lofty and far more.... carnal, I suppose.

As I said, that's just how I look at it. To me, it doesn't have much of a bearing on physical appearance and has more to do with clothing, bearing, and mannerisms. An older woman can still be cute to me. I suppose she can be "hot" as well.

Lol - it seems so weird for me to type that since I don't usually use that terminology, and i'm sure that nothing i've said has made any sense, but I said it anyway! lol

EDIT - and of course, things can be cute in a way that's not attractive and just purely "cute". Like kittens, children, etc. Though I personally don't find children all that cute....

When I think cute, I think huggable and adorable. When I think sexy, I think more provocative and most people are usually trying when they're being sexy. Cute can be an all the time thing that people aren't really aware of.

I don't know. This is hard

This much cuteness 24/7 can't be good for our health

I'd imagine so. I forgot to mention that obviously what people will find cute or "hot" will vary from person to person. I think she looks just as cute as the average anime character though. To me, she's more cute like a kitten than what I was describing as "attractive cute", but to some others, she could quite easily be attractive cute.

Just for the heck of it, here's a character that's "attractive cute" to me personally.

To me;
Cute/Adorable = Innocent, attractive
Sexy/Hot = Someone to have sex with

If a random dude at the mall called me cute I'd say thank you, and move on.
If a random dude at the mall called me sexy, I'd most likely be offended and just glare at him, sarcastically saying "Thanks".

cute for sure. u can have a hot/sexy body but a meh face. U can always get a cute person to be hot as well if they go workout. U can have a hot person but unattractive face which they can't really change unless plastic surgery or something.

Society taught me that to be "hot/sexy" you have to have a tiny waist, big boobs, high cheek bones, full lips, perfect eyebrows and have a makeup and hair stylist team by you at all times to fix every little mishap. Oh, also Photoshop is your bestfriend.

Some people are naturally "hot/sexy" of course. I find that most of these girls are a bit taller than average, they probably look 20 when they're 13 thanks to their makeup and the way they dress, these are the types of girls that guys will talk about, that guys will seek out in bars/pubs/clubs/parties. They're the desirable ones that everyone wants to sleep with regardless of their personality.

As a girl who falls into the cute/adorable category being 4ft11, having a face with "cute/small" features and having a petite body (although I somehow got lucky and do have some curves around the hip area) makes me a little bit bitter. I've always longed to fall into the "hot/sexy" category and to be treated as a desirable woman because that's the desire that's being pushed on individuals through media.

It does make me feel a bit more confident when my boyfriend (of over a year) calls me sexy (in the given situations), but he calls me "cutie" a lot more, in any/every situation. Sometimes in moments of self-doubt I feel like "pssh, yeah right, me, sexy?". Over time I've realized that "sexy" refers to the physical attractiveness of the body (or perhaps how someone does their makeup/presents themselves) and "cutie" refers to pureness, the face and/or reflection of personality.

I think I'm okay with that.
