Do you normally bend to another's will unless it's important? Do you mind it when someone chooses what movies to go see, which games to play, which activities to do, etc. Do you mind submitting to them physically and mentally? Do you mind if someone slaps your bottom and tells you to get them a sandwich(Nicely)? If someone told you to close your laptop, and come to them, would you do it?

Despite being a known psychopath(Now), I'm actually very obedient. And of course, I mean submissive within reason, as in, you listen as far there's no harm to yourself or anyone else.

Freedom and disobedient are one and the same, so typically if a guy told(not asked) a girl to put down her phone and watch TV with him for a bit, rather they were in a relationship sexual or otherwise, if they siblings, etc. They would normally respond negatively. Most orders are ignored nowadays.

I'm very receptive to orders because my laptop, iPhone, what movie I watch, where I am, etc. Aren't that important to me(Anymore). Of course, there's nothing wrong with responding negatively to orders because they don't let you know there's a choice, which compels you to act how they want without too much regard for you. So it's understandable. But people who don't like/love you don't order you around, so it's different than being under arrest.

It brings up interesting scenarios and conversations, because they don't really expect you to comply with their orders.

So....

How do you feel about being submissive?

The submissive ones are in control.
I can seem this way but it's more about how much I care,
some people find I can be extremely stubborn until they tell me to do something I was already planning on doing.
And if someone told me to make a sandwich, I would make one that I want to eat. (I love tobasco)

I'm pretty stubborn in the sense if you tell me to do something I was already going to do I'll wait a certain amount of time before I do said thing because what was said. My body emits poisonous anger if people demand things but I never really respond vocally.

Even when worded as a command I treat them as requests. I will usually obey unless it goes against my ideals, I am doing something time sensitive, or doing something that requires a good stopping point (for example I don't like stopping mid-function while programming). When faced with group decisions I prefer to defer unless it involves something I am extensively knowledgeable about.

If it doesn't disadvantage me (or anyone else) I see no reason to resist and I generally trust people to not take advantage of me too much. I am submissive until my dominance is needed. I am very capable of dominance both physically and mentally so I actively avoid manipulating people. If my leadership is exclusively needed (as in no one else in context is confident) I will take that burden but otherwise I abstain.

Edit: If the tone is disrespectful I won't obey and I will give a look in the eyes that strongly says "Do you want to rethink the way you talk to me?" That very rarely happens though as people tend to not want to anger me. I'm not violent or anything but they don't know that.

I don't like others telling me what to do. I wouldn't mind doing things if a close friend or the person I'm with asks me if I could please do something, but when people order me around I'm more likely to tell them to fuck off. And with things I was already planning to do I can be like what GrandMasterTim already mentioned - I'll be lazy and I'll put it off for a while.

In the bedroom, however...

Only in the bedroom.

In relationships we have equal amounts of decision and compromise.

I try to put other people's interests before mine--not in a doormat, weakling kinda sense but in a way where I know it will benefit the person and our relationship as a whole. If their request is harmful or against my beliefs/convictions I won't do it. If they are asking me to do something in a rude, disrespectful way I let them know that their manner of speaking is annoying me and that I'd appreciate being spoken to with respect.

Don't care one way or the other, normally. It's better to bend unless it's a very important issue; that way, when it IS important, you can use your concessions as leverage to make important things turn out the way you want.

Not used to having power in relationships anyway.

Is it wrong that I thought of S & M when I read the title?

I would only be submissive to the one I love. When it's someone else telling me to do something, that depends on whether or not it's a burden on me and also the tone of the order. If it's in a gentle voice saying "Hey, I need you to do this for me," I'm more likely to do it than if it sounded like "YO! GET YER ASS OVER HERE NOW!"

no it's not wrong because I thought the same thing when I read the title :p and I agree.

Well in a relationship one person has to submit to the other once in a while or the relationship will never prosper.

Meh, being bossed around means less thinking on my part. I prefer being submissive... unless we're talking S&M and all that. But just in general I prefer being told what to do as opposed to trying to find out what to do. But seeing as I'm a guy, if a girl slapped my ass and ordered for a sandwich I'd leave her on the spot, no questions asked.
