Damn, Reiji, you just stole the show and the girl.

These have mostly been fun episodes. But I really want to have Starish functioning as a group at the center of the episodes again. That's what I watch for.

Episode 10

Now that all of the Starish cross units and Quartet Night members have gotten an episode to themselves, now it's time to make preparations for the SSS, and the screening process is quite daunting. Haruka really needs to be on the top of her game to make it through it all.

I think the piano instrumental is better than the song at the end imo. That's just my opinion though.

Episode 11

Starish takes Haruka's songwriting for Quartet Nights as a sign that she's abandoning Starish. But of course, that's hardly the truth as she's just merely doing a job. So after coming up with a song of gratitude, Haruka returns the favor by having a song prepared for them to provide lyrics for. There is mounting pressure for Starish to be entered into SSS, and after their entry song, the revolution is just beginning. That is such a nice episode there seeing that it reinforces the bonds between the members of Starish and Haruka.

Episode 12

The revolution is incomplete as Shining says, and that means no SSS for them. But after Quartet Night gives Starish their full endorsement, they have been entered seeing that Quartet Night wouldn't perform without them. In knew that they were in, but what it took was Quartet Night's stamp of approval to make it happen.

Lol the part with the Revolution hype in the first half almost made me face palm. Their director got way too hyped for the actual game.

One more episode left.

Episode 13 (Finale)

The battle is on, and Starish's top rival, Quartet Night, brought the curtains down with their performance as the first to go on-stage. Now, it's Starish's turn, and they put on quite an impressive performance there. The music is great, and certainly worthy of being the opening act for the SSS. And then Heavens, the band Starish defeated at UtaPri, is back and better than ever leading to a cliffhanger ending as it remains to be seen which of these bands won. To be continued, and could it mean a season 4?

Final Thoughts

This season pretty much follows the same formula as the second season with two episodes that introduces what the band is aiming for (UtaPri in season 2 and SSS in this season) followed by seven episodes that focuses on each character individually (or in this season, each member of Quartet Night and cross unit of Starish), followed by three episodes of preparation for the big event, and then concluding with success in the big event. It's because this season doesn't do anything innovative from the second season that I mark this season down lower than season 2 and that some of the episodes just didn't click with me. But in any case, Haruka continues to be awesome showing that she can write songs for just about anybody, and that's always nice to see.

Grade: C+ (7/10)

Yeah, this series lacks much of a plot but I suppose the characters had some appeals. Not too shabby for the finale though. I thought it was one of the better episodes.

A lot f high-5s going around with the dance moves.

Perhaps we may expect a season 4 to come in the future...
