I find it very difficult for me to find people in my area who enjoy anime. It's nearly impossible. I have friends but not on of them would be interested in Anime. I just wish I knew more people around my area. I need to talk ANIME. AND THERES NO ONE. Anyone else have this problem D:

look on facebook for anime groups in your area. I found an active group of anime fans in my state this way.

it's not that hard. And anime doesn't necesssarily have to be the basis of a friendship.

Some people probably just watch one show. Like my friend only watches Naruto and ALL my Mexican friends have only watched Dragon Ball Z. I don't think that could count as "liking anime" ya feel

I have many friends who don't like anime. But anime and making anime graphics are a big part of my life. It'd just be nice to have friends that I could talk about anime with. I have to keep it all bottled up inside! And when I try to explain to my Mom shes like 0____o yeah sounds cool hunny. Lol

Sigh. I can relate. In my University and more in my carrier (Law & Political Sienace) no one ever mention enything of it, in the whole capus only one classmate watch it yet it's like a taboo here or a weaking signal, so no one watch it.

Its most about the type of people your around i guess.... try some different social circles... its not that hard.. join a club.. play a sport... do some volunteer work... it doesnt have to be about anime but these are some ways to meet new people.. possibly some that share similar interests. I guess im lucky that my job pulls in people from all corners of the country.. Its easy to find someone with similar or vastly different interests.

Are you in college? That's an easy place to find people with similar interests.

Depending on what part of Boston you're from and whether or not you're a HxH fan will decide why it's been so difficult to find me.

Unfortunately it seems that for whatever reason, we anime fans are always spread so far out from each other so it is difficult to actually make friends in person. I would not however bottle up what you personally enjoy. Maybe some people feel the same way about it as you do and therefore don't bring it up. If someone notices you reading a manga or watching an anime it just might bring them out and strike conversation because they themselves felt uncomfortable to do so.
