Am I the only who feels like when I dream I am being transported to an alternate universe. Like everything is the same, but different. And it is recurringly similar and the places you feel deja vu. It feels like I've dreamt the same dream several times. Anyone else feel like this, or am I just weird?

There are lots of people that believe their delusions.
We call them crazy.

Yesterday while on the green (of course I'm talking about golf ) A friend of mine came up with this inference that our dream world is actually the real world, and our "awake bodies" are actually falsely manufactured bodies that we return to when we exit the dream world so that our "dream bodies" can rest.

well in a sense. It is an alternate universe. Your own personal universe created by your mind. Its a universe as-long as you are perceiving it to be real.

Last night I had a vivid dream that resulted in my death. Death by my head being crushed.

...It did not feel good.
If it some 'alternate' or 'parallel' universe, then I learned not to enter the small door across the bathroom while on the third floor in the mansion I may live in.

I often have dreams where the event I dreamed would occur within the next few days or on some occasions, that very same day. I usually just think it's my intuition, but who knows, maybe I'm in touch with the strings of fate that bind the universe together?

Rarely remember my dreams.. One I vividly remember is one where my uncle and I built a robot that later turned evil and tried kill us.. Never got to destroy the robot so I'm waiting for part 2 of that dream!

weather real or dream life is all in our head.

we run a simulation in our brain, using input from eyes and ears to tweak the sim. but take away eyes and ears, we still just live in our own little world in our head.

I've always thought of dreams as a place where the 4th wall doesn't exist. You could call it another dimention as the definitions may be quite vague depending on who you ask.

Oddly, I have the exact same dream that I had years ago sometimes.

I usually have those when I dead sick and feeling ill. Because all of the same dreams that I have always end up being nightmares or something bad. My good ones are one time shows. And it sucks because I always wish I can go back into the dream since it was such a nice dream.

It's pointless coming up with things using "what if" rather than actual facts.

Yeah I have those pretty often but it always come out to be a wreck due to relationships and stuff being swapped. But I do have deja vu to where i can dream something that will happen the next day or the next week

have thought about it.

but i can control myself in my dreams and what is going to happen. i used to do that to make it less unpredictable and avoid having nightmares, but it was boring, being able to control what i can dream.

so i no longer control it, and let the events be unpredictable. it's more fun that way, since it's like reading a new book.

in other words, dreams aren't really vision of parallel dimensions/future/past; it's just your mind rearranging your thoughts. and if you become really aware before you go to sleep (tell yourself that you're going to dream, and that you're going to control it)... you can control the events.
