If you got a free moment, i am curious. How many of you actually still watch TV? And i mean, TV like the majority does?

And if you want a little discussion too in this thread. Why do you or do you not watch TV? Is there any real benefits either way?

I'll kick it off with my response.

I do not watch TV much at all nowadays. I'll maybe catch something if i am sat in the room with family, but i generally do not actively aim to sit down and watch TV. And i have my reasons for this.

It is easier to waste time over TV
This is equally true with streaming services like Crunchyroll, but generally, it is slightly harder to waste time on a streaming service. It takes slightly more effort to load up your show, and to pick the next episode, compared to pushing one button and having things available there and then

You tend to watch better quality shows, and watch a wider variety
How many times have you sat down at the TV and seen the same show again-and-again, just because it's on? I know i did just that. However, I have never really had that problem while streaming shows.

In my opinion, A lot of TV shows nowadays are kinda crap...
First of all, let me state, this is my opinion. Sure, there are some genuinely good TV shows, such as Sherlock and The Walking Dead. However, most of the time, when you switch on your telly, you are treated to mediocre quality programs.

Streaming is often cheaper
TV licensing laws means you must have a TV license to watch live TV, or at least that is the case in my country. These licenses currently stand at £145.50 for a colour TV (and £49 for a b/w TV, but those are a rare case nowadays) per year. If you can live without a TV, then streaming proves to save you a little bundle of money, and depending on how strapped you are for cash, this can be a good choice

Don't own one so I don't. Maybe I'll check some shows out on Netflix, but that's it.

I do watch tv. Usually cartoons for my son or whatever the wife is watching.

For me though, my tv is more for gaming and watching CR.
sometimes I also use it for background noise.

Cable is a waste of money to me, but it keeps the family happy.

My favorite to watch on tv is How to Get Away with Murder.

#WhoKilledSam

It only has one episode left.

I also watch Comic Book Men and The Big Bang Theory.

Town of the Living Dead looks promising too.

Not as often. I only watch tv shows online and only go to the theaters if a movie seems interesting enough.
I usually just watch anime and drama on CR
