I think Funimation should give something in return, yes. Maybe they could let Crunchyroll stream the dubbed versions when they come out, since people outside of North America can't watch anything on their website.

I'm not saying CR should just give it all up and get nothing in return, there should be a fair trade in all of this. I just hope it works out because I would like to own both seasons.

Given the situation here, it would be in Crunchyroll's best interest to work alongside Funimation on this with CR handling the physical media distribution and Funi handling the dub. They are in quite a tight spot here seeing how they don't exactly have a track record of releasing stuff physically. Releasing the first season without a Funi dub would just look bad, and they would be crazy to do things their way without Funi involved at all. Anyway, I'm hoping that they will come to some sort of agreement.

I agree with you, Bakaneer. I think it would be in CR best interests to make a deal with Funimation. Really, they just need to tell Funi they would be happy to but they want half of the profits and dub streaming rights or something like that to make it worth it.

Crunchyroll representatives said at Pacific Media Expo this past weekend that they do not intend to sit on the rights, and asked fans to look forward to future developments.
