Never had a problem with the anime fans I've been in real life male or female (and I've met an absolute ton). They were all awesome.

I love humans. (Except for Hitler. He was a dick.)

Scary? To me, that girl just sounds like a b*tch with a loud bark and an obsession. That "rabid fangirl" sounds like someone who'd eventually spark a "situation" that ends with she and someone else being thrown out for causing a "public disturbance" (aka: her being put in her place). I find it more appropriate to describe her and others of her ilk as "infuriating."

Seriously, from the OP, she just about attacked Phersu for no good reason.

Lmao.. I was going to say something along those lines.. I would go to say, don't even underestimate a non-fangirl teenage woman. Bad idea. Believe me.. They are a force to be reckoned with. Lol

I was called a bunch of nasty names by fan girls on facebook
They were pissed off that I didn't care that Haruka and Rin shared a bed in the 12th episode of Free! Eternal Summer
One girl kept insisting that I was an idiot because it was obvious I was a Mako x Haru shipper

Well I can't say I've ever been to a con before, but I've heard stories of some massive dickheads who've attended them; people seem to take their fiction way too seriously sometimes. I've heard of people who've approached cosplayers and insulted them if their knowledge of who they're cosplaying isn't up to snuff. I mean, what the actual fuck? Then you've got the people who sometimes grope cosplayers or act creepy around them. Fandoms can be a good place for discussion, or a complete bloody curse (or rather certain individuals within said fandoms can be). Remember ladies and gentlemen, don't let your love of something turn into a foul obsession. There are bigger things worth getting worked up about than who ships who with who.

"they should find a way to bring her back to life or she would herself."
In regards to this situation she sounds like she's a complete and utter nutcase. Remember though, plenty of awkward people turn to privately consumable entertainment because of how they were different, socially rejected, just plain awkward. I'm not surprised that a few of them would break free of their shells to attend conventions focussed on what they consume. I mean I'm reclusive as shit, it's why I'm into music, videogames, anime, all sorts of stuff I can do in my house. Luckily I'm not insane enough to believe fiction is reality, but I'll be the first to admit I can be a tad socially awkward. Difference is at least I realise I am. A few people, like the girl in question, don't.

ah! ya sll'ha c-chtenff Cthulhu! Ahaha, I kid. Normally I just love Lovecraft's works, but I wouldn't call myself a fangirl at all.

All hail the Black Pharaoh? He of 1000 Names? The Crawling Chaos, the Faceless God?

Or are you one of the devotees to Hastur and the King in Yellow?

Nyarlathotep has a special place in my heart.

He's not like any of the others. He supposedly walks among us, and he likes toying with us. He's supposed to betray the others, and has the whole science thing down and is coherent/sentient in ways the others aren't. He's kinda the most human of them all, and somehow that makes him far far creepier.
