Uncensored anime depends on what airs on t.v. in Japan, if I'm not mistaken. If it's uncensored, that's what CR gets. Just look at Akame ga Kill and Parasyte. They're both uncensored in Japan so CR gets the uncensored versions. Terraformars was nothing but a black screen on Japanese t.v. so that's what CR got. I'm surprised they were able to get their hands on the uncensored version so soon.

The forums here already seem kinda mature. We can talk about stuff like STD's, politics, drugs, etc. As long as it doesn't get too personal or as long as nobody gets carried away. I don't see a lack of mature content on forums. You even have a thread telling us how evil you are and how apathetic you were towards your mother in the hospital (you sick fiend! kidding!) so I don't see what else you're asking for in terms of maturity. It's not like we're talking about you wanting to put up nude pictures of yourself or talking about how many people you've killed... right? Of course, I haven't seen this "mature" section on MAL so I'm not sure how it compares to what we have here.

That's not quite right. Crunchyroll doesn't offer uncensored anime because it's a choice, not just because of what's on T.V

Case in point being Highschool DxD and Daimidaler or whatever, both of those aired uncensored. Lots of late night anime does, Crunchyroll has it censored because the age group and demographic consists of your Naruto/Bleach/One Piece fans, and not fans of Ladies vs Butlers or Freezing.

Or even R-15.

Or even Girls Bravo!

Or even Sora no Otoshimono! And that's pretty much PG13 and still censored!!

There's quite certainly a lack of maturity on the forums.

The guidelines even state "Keep it PG-13" Which isn't mature.

I guess I wasn't really clear on what I meant...

It's my understanding that Highschool DxD aired uncensored on two private networks, but the public broadcast was still censored. CR got the censored version because that was what was licensed to them.

MAL(MyAnimeList) has a mature section where you can post links, photos, and talk about mature content.

I don't mean PG-13, I mean full blown mature subjects that are prohibited here are crunchyroll.

One thing that always irked me about Crunchyroll is it's insistence on Anime and East subculture in general be PG-13.

What? Censored To-Love Ru? Who the hell- What the fu-......

WHO WATCHES CENSORED ANIME?! Who plays ONLY T-rated games and lower? What if I wanna talk about that one hidden scene in Senran Kagura or post pictures of it? What if I wanna discuss mature topics with (probably)other adults?

Well, Crunchyroll doesn't have anything for those people. But there is other anime sites.

I really want Crunchyroll to have uncensored anime, but they pro 10-16 year old shounen anime, so it may not even be necessary as Crunchyroll, as I just noticed... IS pretty immature. So I want to make this one thread....

PLEASE have a forum for mature content and PLEASE have uncensored anime!

With that said, you can find me on my new primary account "Magical-Soul" on MAL.

I'm not leaving, I'll just be here a lot less.

I agree for the most part, I don't think CR is pro to a specific genre though.

I am sorry, but the FCC has banned this thread on the account of being the ************* FCC.

You could probably get away with making a closed group and only inviting older members.

I wonder if this rule expands to the f-bombs

"guideline imposed by the Motion Picture Association of America, the US ratings board, which places a quota upon the number of F-words you can use in a PG-13 movie."

How many fucks can you say in CR before it becomes "R" or mature?

There is a certain website that offers a wonderful paradise of hentai. Pay them a visit if you need some naughty in your lonely otaku life.

Still, I won't disagree that uncensored series on CR would be nice. But I won't support it. The fact of the matter is that this change is more trouble than it is worth. I like what CR has going right now. If I watch a censored series and want to see the naughty stuff, I will buy it on DVD or Blu-Ray. It's just that simple, and that is how it should be.

Who gets all of their anime needs from CrunchyRoll anyway...?

Why complain when you can simply relocate? Why seek mature conversation on an anime site of all places to begin with?

Le pressing matters are pressing.

I really don't get why McDonalds has to sell salads when they're literally built to cook and sell hamburgers.

All I know is that I can post a pic of Taiga being pregnant...I just can't post one on how she got that way.

I wouldn't mind a mature thread but I wouldn't participate, I'm a bit prude. They would also have to put in restrictions to certain accounts because of age and I don't think they've got a interface that can implement that without some work.

Ahhh.. So you want hentai and a forum to go with it.
Posted 11/11/14
To be honest, these forums are more mature than your typical forums. That's just what I experienced. I don't see the problem with implementing a mature section. Although, a lot of hentai isn't be licensed, so everyone is pretty much guaranteed to have streamed it illegally.

There's a whole whack of other places you can go for mature content discussions and viewing, we don't need to make this something it's not intended to be.

Depends what you mean by mature content. Just because it says it's for a "mature" audience doesn't mean it's really mature. I don't see ecchi and hentai as being "mature", to me they are very immature. If I go and watch an ecchi I do it with my brain turned off. As the "mature" content serves no real purpose. Let's take HoTD, there was no reason for the fanservice to be there and the majority of it was added just cause. To me something that is mature would be a series like Texhnolyze. It has mature content, but it doesn't seem to use it just cause. Also the concepts and themes Texhnolyze discusses are ideas that may go over some younger audiences heads.........I really need to finish Texhnoylze. I'm totally fine with things being uncensored, but only if they have a good reason for being there to begin with.

That was a very mature series. but the ending.. UAGH!!! I can't even remember it except that afterwards I felt like there was no hope in the universe, we just live and die and there's no point... Trust me, it's a depressing end.
