D.gray-man had turn to total crap after the author went in hiatus. In fact, im suspecting that the real author died from her injury and her publishers got a ghost author to write in her place. Because this kickass Shonen manga just blew up to a full blown Fujoshibait so fast, i was forced to double check the name of what i was reading. Because it sure as hell didn't feel like im reading the same one!

Many others want it back though, so don't ruin t for them.

Also did you know people writing/drawing styles change over time? So if there as a long enough period in between there's no doubt there will be some change in style. Plus storylines and characters tend to progress into bigger and bigger plots as time goes on until everything is ultimately resolved. I went back and reread the series last weekend and everything flows smoothly and progresses in a nice manor.

Also other popular series have had authors die before they are finished and guess what, no ghost authors; the series just remains unfinished forever.

I will totally agree that this series really did totally turn into Fujoshi bait, I regret ever going on places like: Tumblr, deviantart, and Fanfic looking this series up. Personally I didn't like some of the decision the author made in regards to the story, the fourteenth being the biggest one come straight out of left field , but I'd love to see this story finished. As I'm sure lots more people would like to see it finished.

Well from her instagram photos i'd say there is a pretty good chance of a new update at some point, http://instagram.com/p/yebGtrCf1p/?modal=true , I can only hope, as i really would like for this to continue. and to you guys who doesn't want it continued, no one is forcing you to read it, so i don't see what the problem is

I think the point that they're making is to stop before you make things worse. as for other people's enjoyment, I hate to say it but things HAVE to end. Just because some fans like to masturbate to some article of their fandom and obsess over wanting more content doesn't mean that more content should be made. A good story is often such for the story that is told and what is written as well as what is not.

I mean it's this need from fans and companies (who want to milk a property for all that it's worth) that results in the 300000000+ issue mangas and the 300+ episode anime titles that after maybe 100 episodes simply run out of content, jump the shark and turn what you loved into what you absolutely hate.

With all due respect, I don't think its the case here. The story wasn't even close to wrapping up before it went on hiatus. Saying this manga is trying to milk its success is like saying HXH or Berserk are trying to milk their success by coming back. You may not agree that D. Gray Man is on either of their levels, and that's fine, but to say the series is trying to milk it's success, is something I don't think is true.

I would like an ending to D.Grayman but I'm not believing any rumors until something solid is announced.

I have this series on my queue, so I haven't started it yet.

There's nothing on Wikipedia Japan about the manga returning. In fact, it seems that the mangaka has moved on to doing character designs for anime.

Well she posted this on her instagram about 2 months ago https://instagram.com/p/xODwTWCf_9/?modal=true

I wouldn't be surprised to see an announcement of its return in the next year.

The latest news.

Hoshino-sensei herself mentioned she had sent in her manga drafts to her editors and it is up to them when they can publish it. She cannot confirm the time herself. (Stated in one of the picture in her instagram, in Japanese)

But one thing to be confirmed, she HAD sent all her chapters drafts.

I would have to reread the entire thing due to being so long since I have read it.
