I can't smile when people ask me to.

I laugh and smile at myself all the time though. I'm just really happy with my own thoughts.

It all varies on how I feel. Especially when getting my picture taken.

idk... You know how I feel about NYC? It's one of the safest cities in the country. It's got the statistics to prove it.

yet every new yorker I know seems to have this sense of paranoia about them. Somebody's watching them, Somebody's out to get them......

One of the safest... until you step into the Projects after sunset. And you'd be paranoid too if half of your city was crawling with cameras. The police are watching you at all times. Don't let Big Brother win! That's part of why I keep out of Manhattan. That, and the fact that you can't ride public transportation without some sweaty guy's elbow in your face.

Also, I smile when I step out of the city... sometimes. Smiling in a big, crowded, noisy, rude city like NYC just isn't natural. The only time people here smile is when the Yankees win a game.

Let's just put it this way, people think it's weird when I'm not smiling...

I really wish I could have a permanent bitch face.

Of course! There's always a reason to smile, even if it's very little. Just don't thing everything for granted.

Nah, I don't smile in public. Except when I'm laughing with friends, and that doesn't even count towards this topic. Unless someone smiles at me first, like the cashier or something, then I would out of respect.
