i do respect and appreciate our men and women of uniform for their service but since this forum has ppl from all over the globe then i think this subject should not be here?i mean i am fine with it since am an american but do the canadians or mexicans and others care??

Are you kidding me? In Canada and most of the commonwealth it's close to a sacred day, a Canadian even wrote the poem that everyone reads on the 11th.

Thank you to all those who serve and have served. My younger brother was in the Army Infantry for three years and now he's in the National Guard. I had high respect for the Military even before he was in it, but now I have even greater respect for them. I'm also proud to work for a company that supports and respects them very much as well, Home Depot.

how ever you feel about war in general, the men and women who fought should be remembered, for there willingness to give for the greater good.
wrong or right, they did what they did for the good of others.
we need more like them now.

Even us anime lovers who are normally forgetful and disrespectful?

I see theses things as a cop out.
World leaders willingly put these people in their graves.
Instead of soldiers, they should have been training diplomats.

No, that would be May 5th.
May 4th is remembered all the civilian and military that died over the years.
May 5th is for when Holland was liberated from German occupation.
