Do Women Tend To Be More Sadistic Than Men?
Posted 11/13/14
So, I was reading Akame Ga Kill, and thought "Esdeath is pretty damn sexy, what a sexy sadist!" So, the question I pose before you today is, do women tend to be more sadistic than men? Do they like controlling men, putting them on leashes, and in every sexy way be dominant? Are women a race/group/something of dominatrixes ready to subjugate scores of men?

You mean, "are women more manipulative"? I don't know if we are more sadistic than men, as I think gun massacres and rape says otherwise. More subtle and indirect, perhaps.

I really hope not, I'm already scared of them as it is.

Women can rape men too. Plus, I am talking about in general, personality wise and such. Not a whole lot of men are rapists from my experience. (Like .1%?)

Men commit the vast majority of violent crime, and are the biggest population in prisons and jails. No, most men are not rapists, and yes women can occasionally rape men. I think men and women express aggression differently, but not one being more sadistic than the other, only in their expression.

Indirect: If you put someone up to murder, for instance, and you didn't get your hands bloody, you're still guilty of murder whether you did the deed yourself or no.

A majority of men are not criminals. And 2, this is about quantity, not quality. What I mean is, say 100 out of every 200 women are sadists, and 1 out of every 500 men are rapists. While rape is surely a horrendous crime, it only means 1 out of 500 men are sadists and 1 out of every 2 women are sadists. I am not looking for who are the most hardcore sadists are, I am looking for which sex tends to have the most sadists ratio wise.

No no, the majority of inmates are men, not the majority of men.

I was not male bashing. I think women are not more sadistic than men is all.

I understood what you said, but I think it is a bit too unrelated to be of note. Again, looking for the overall trend, not for the quality of the crime. You can still be sadistic and not be a criminal.

Edit: It seems people aren't reading the article, so I'll just give one of the results

Sadists make up 4.8% of men and 2.1% of women.

Masochists make up 2.5% of men and 4.6% of women.

Thus, according to playboy, men are a bit more on the sadistic side.

I respectfully disagree with the numbers. Something about them doesn't seem right. Never have I heard of women being more sadistic.

I am not saying they are, I am asking "are they"?

hehe here I go exposing myself.. I like the strong confident lady and dominance shouldn't belong to either of us.. she must be able to stand for herself if ever we argue or anything... But I don't mean we disrespect each other, I just wouldn't mind my lady trying to push me around now and then.. hehe

No, both sadism and masochism have little to do with sex. Instead, they are largely influenced by environmental factors. Personality disorders are also considered viable causes, which also have little correlation with sex.
