I think this title sort of speaks for itself, really. I absolutely love this show and haven't found anything wrong with it. I always leave feeling satisfied and left with a sort of emotion that I can't place my finger on. I dunno man, I feel like I just gotta let people know my love for this anime, and hope other people agree with me!

Yeah, it's in a category of it's own. I read the manga as well, but the mood setting music and vibrantly colored backgrounds are integral to the experience.

I love how mushis, which in any other series would be an enemy to exterminate, here are a part of nature just trying to survive like everything else, making mushi-shis sort of mediators between them and humans, helping everyone to coexist in peace. They are stories without villains, where the only enemies are ignorance, prejudice and misunderstanding.

Everyone looking for more than boobs and explosions should watch it. Just beware, some tears (manly or otherwise) will be shed.

Yes, I agree; while it has a very mystical/folklore feel, it is really about human nature. The mushi provide a story platform to provide life lessons, sort of like a modern-day Aesop.

And there are quite a few other people who also like it in this pre-existing show thread: /forumtopic-842161/mushishi-zoku-shou

I also really enjoy mushi-shi, but since there is already a discussion thread for the show (see asharka's post above for link), i'm closing this one. Please do feel free to copy the content of your post from here and paste it into a new post there (sorry--i don't have any way to move individual posts).
