I'm disappointed in my country and the regulatory capture at all levels of the government but I do love my state and I love American Football. The food is great here too but until I am full speed that is my enemy too.

Murica here too.

I like the diversity here. I like the freedom to disagree with my government - because I often do. I live in the desert Southwest now and I love the climate, the cultural mix, the food, and the history. I've lived & traveled a lot throughout the States and I have to agree about being able to move 100 miles and get into a whole new culture and way of thinking. I am an outdoors person, and I love the wilderness places (we still have a lot of it), the emptyness, quiet, and oppotunites to hike, kayak, and watch wildlife. I love that we have really made use of the Internet - for good and bad, but lots of diversity from having the world at my fingertips, all kinds of information, to the ability to self publish your books and do reasonably well with it. We have a lot of opportunities, freedoms, and securities here, and the main problem I see is people who grew up with these things don't realize how lucky they are. We have a small but very vocal and pushy bunch who want to try and force everyone to be the same and do things their way - but it's never going to work here. And that's because, yes, its the U.S.A. We have some major flaws in how we take care of our citizens and how much we love to go kill people overseas, but I think there's hope for us.

That said, Japan is one of a number of countries I really want to visit. Live there? Maybe. I seriously looked into emigration to several countries about ten years ago. It's not that easy. I also have always had a very healthy respect for anyone who emigrates to any country that speaks a different language and makes good. I'm not sure I have that much intestinal fortitude. However, I am learning to speak Japanese, and, obviously, watch a lot of anime & have soaked up some Japanese culture. I think I could make it. I would like, I think, to be in Hokkaido - which is more rural and has horses, and I prefer that sort of life style. Tokyo might be a cool place to visit, but I don't think I'd want to live there.

Nice idea for a thread btw

The patriotism is stronk in dis thread

Like religion, this is a touchy subject matter, so I won't say anything against anyone's pride. What your allegiance is to after all is a part of you.

I like how just knowing first aid makes me a living god when someone gets hurt.

I don't like much about my country, the people plain suck. The land is great though, it has all climates, it's fertile and has beautiful scenery. Sometimes I think about how much Japan has accomplished in such a tiny island with very limited farmable land and resources while we are struggling even though we are sitting on a pile of natural riches. We should be wiped out and let better people get the land.

You forget that there's a painting and a whole train/train station to keep and eye out for.

there's not really a lot of actual Japanese residents on this website, which makes sense as they don't really need it.

There's accully a few Japanese who use this website. A few months ago I released a Crunchyroll forum app on Google Play store and 3.17% of the total app downloads of the app have been from Japan. It may not be a really high number, but it at least shows that there's a Japanese userbase on this webstie.

On Topic

I live in Sweden and I absolutely HATE the country... THere's nothing even worth mentioning!!!!!

Well because the weather always changes we get to gripe about the weather all we like. If we're ever lost for conversation that's a good default topic.

People seem to think that patriotism is loving your government, the politicians and everything else except where you actually live and the people in it. I know nothing much about my government, I'm not really into politics but I do love my country, I love the culture, it's history, the fact that we have a queen, I do like the average English person and I love our accents. Yeah, I'm from England

What do I like about the UK... Hmmm...
Well, I guess free healthcare is a nice bonus!
And I much prefer British humour to American Humour... Although I don't like how this website thinks I'm misspelling humour when this is obviously the right way
Erm... The accent I guess...?
And the diversity is nice I suppose, love me a good curry :D
And most people are nice and polite over here, and you don't get religion shoved in your face, which is what I assumes happens in America.
Oh yeah, and the metric system is genius! It actually makes sense!
