Same here with me. I really thought the sign in and out trick was working but then it just sits on the sign into xbox live instead -.- It doesnt do this app justice if i end up watching anime elsewhere while paying for it here. The waiting game continues...

Yep, today still no luck in getting past that damn authenticating screen. Now it feels like they just ditched the 360 app in support of the xbox one version of the app ( which appears to be having problems as well ). This absolutely needs to be fixed soon, im honestly on the last straw with this membership.

Yup still doesn't work for me... I have the newer 360 with 500Gb of space so i reeeeaaally doubt its the lack of space... I'm glad to hear that we finally got the Xbox one version but in the end I still want my 360 crunchyroll app to work because all my friends are still on the 360 and I party up with them to watch anime, which by the way I have 4 other friends that are having the same issue, so the whole "only a few people are having this issue" thing is bs... again sorry for the mean post, fix it soon please

I agree. This is clearly a problem affecting a good amount of users but for some reason it doesnt seem to be of priority at the moment. Its absurd that the app was working perfectly fine for such a long time and due to a single update, its now rendered useless. There needs to be a fix soon since we are are basically paying for a feature we cant use. I still dont get why this issue seems like its not getting as much attention it deserves. Like its been a full week of this and almost no word on a fix. Sigh..

Our engineers are still working on the fix.

In the meantime please keep trying the workaround:
Sign out of Xbox Live (with the Crunchyroll app STILL RUNNING) by pressing the Xbox button and then X to sign out. The Crunchyroll app will then show the page that says "Please log in to Xbox Live". Logging in then should hopefully fix the issue for some of the affected users.

I and a few others have already tried repeatedly to get into the app with the workaround and STILL NO LUCK. We even stated that in this very same thread. Hate to be " That " guy but seriously, literally every person ive come across with this app, has this issue, and theyve all tried the same work around fix and not a single one of us have been able to get into the app. So i honestly cant sit and believe that it worked for " some users " when there are many even in this thread complaining about the same issue with no luck. I would honestly feel better if the problem was widely recognized as a serious bug with the update, instead of a " only a few selected users are affected by it " thus making it seem like it isnt as big a deal when it kind of is.. smh.

Its really hard to stay composed and civil when its been a good week and no widely announced fix. There must be tons of other people with this issue if im seeing folks from the u.k and such with this issue. Sheesh.

Couldn't of said it better skatingninja... I'm annoyed of the fact that they say its only affecting a few users... it reeeeally bugs me when companies do that to make it seem like not many people are having issues... what is it then??? Is it my area??? Cause as of now i have 2 more friends having the same issue so if we count them all I have 6 friends in total with the same issue, I really don't understand what they could of done to mess the app up and I hate complaining but in the end if I say nothing about the matter at hand then nothing will be done and I would have to wait longer to gain access to an app that was working perfectly fine before the update... sorry for the whiny post... please fix asap

I didn't mean to make it look like not many people have the issue. Sorry if it came across to you like that. I was trying to point out that the bug affected not all of the users, but possibly users with a particular set-up. In either case, the fix is on the way, but I can't give you any ETA, as it still has to go through Microsoft's review.

Here is what worked for me:
1. Delete the app from the xbox.
2. Delete the files associated with the app from your xbox hdd.
3. Download the app again and complete one update.

After completing these steps, I was able to authenticate without fail.

I dont know if you have some mystical powers or what but now after trying the same method that ive been trying for a week, it NOW decides to let me in. Ive deleted, re-downloaded the app so many times with no luck but now today for the first time in a little over a week, ive been able to see the dashboard of the crunchyroll app! So im guessing that we have to fully delete everything relating to the app as opposed to only deleting the app itself ( which i was alittle hesitant at first but realized it was for nothing ). Anyways im finally back in my crunchy and im pretty happy on this sunday morning so i shall end this with a thank you mr/ms mcotten. Hopefully others will see your post and hopefully be able to FINALLY binge watch our favorite animes again c:

Even so, this basically proves my point that it was definitely something with the update that occurred about a week ago ( i hate saying this phrase now cause of that stupid song lol ). Having to delete everything now seems like the logical thing to do. Anyways, im off to watch some ace of diamond before work. Have a nice days guys.

But seriously, that was a serious bug, id imagine there are still many out there who have no idea on how to fix this issue, which was why i was personally annoyed of this whole situation. I just wanted the issue to be more known so others can get back to watching their shows.

FYI it takes quite awhile for an update to go through with multiple parties needing to go through the code and make sure it will still allow everything to function as normal and as you can see with what happened with this "bug" occasionally there is a problem that gets through and that is just human error and there's no helping that.... Thanks
