PART ONE....
I have recently gotten into anime. I have watched some before with my boyfriend, none that I really fell in love with. Though recently i've been watching Soul Eater, Elfen Lied, and Deadman Wonderland. I think it's safe to say I enjoy the straight to the point gore....

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions based on those very few Anime's i've fallen in love with.

PART TWO

Probably 5 years ago, My boyfriend and I were watching an Anime. I can't remember for the life of me what it was.
All I can remember from the plot was a young man was friends with a girl (she may have been a princess or some type of royal) And when he kissed her he turned into either a huge man or some sort of creature. (sorry i really am struggling to remember the details) If anyone has any idea of what that Anime might be I would appreciate it so much, because I always loved that one.

Thank you thank you for any help you can provide

Part One
Akame ga Kill! (which is a bit generic, but it gets the job done) (on Crunchyroll)
Berserk (I like the movies. This one is dark though, so...)
Fate/Zero (and by extension Fate/stay night) (both on Crunchyroll)
Parasyte (on Crunchyroll)
Hellsing Ultimate
Psycho-Pass (which I didn't personally like as much as everyone else did)

Part Two
No idea lol. Sorry

You could try Samurai Champloo (lots of bloody sword fights). Also, you might check out Monster, if you can find it (if you like your gore wrapped around a smart psychological thriller).

If you liked Elfen Lied for the gore, you'd probably love Attack on Titan and Akame ga Kill. If you liked it for the plot, Shinsekai Yori might be up your alley. "Another" is also pretty gory. I hear the anime adaption of Corpse Party is super gory as well. I've only experienced the original 8-bit game of it and that was... disturbing.

You should probably check out Tokyo Ghoul, Parasyte, Akame Ga Kill, Code Geass, Psycho-Pass, or Mirai Nikki
Closest thing I found to your description of the anime was Dance in the Vampire Bund

Yeah... I was tempted to watch it, but after hearing that from people who'd seen it, I passed. It sounds like they killed off almost everyone just so they could show as much gore as possible. No thanks.

Corpse Party is a little rushed due to being a 4-part OVA but other than that, it's nightmare fuel.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Higurashi yet. It's a blood-fest in that show. Crazy people, knives, little kids, what could go wrong?

I mean that stuff happened in the game and you only saw 8-bit cutscenes of it. But the voice acting and sound effects were so good (bad?) that it was enough to make me sick to my stomach. I can't even imagine it being fully animated... frankly I don't want to.
