Anyone see it? Like or dislike?

I personally loved it, but.. my astrophysicist friends hate it.

I loved it too, it might of been a bit too optimistic for me, but if they made it other wise it would not have gotten good reviews.

Was expecting to hate it but I really really loved it. Very in depth and makes you think. Yes it was long but I wouldn't of cut any of it out. It seems to be like marmite xD But going in with low expectations and coming out suprised and having enjoyed it was fantastic

I wasn't expecting a lot either, but it was really good. the actors all did a good job, but McConaughey was fantastic as the lead , the story was interesting, and there was some very touching moments. Even though it was almost 3 hours long it didn't feel like it was dragging on. It was one of the best movies I've seen this year.

Amazing visuals. You can't tale that away from the view. And superb acting as well. Very realistic portrayal by all the actors. One downside though: too much of theoretical physics stuffed in the storyline. And hence I felt the storytelling part suffered a wee bit. As a critic put it: 'Nolan (the director) relies heavily on lengthy scenes of surface-level exposition, where characters debate or outright explain complicated physics and philosophical ideas, to educate the audience and ruminate on humanity (both good and bad) in the face of death and destruction'.

'Educate', eh? I went to watch a movie. Not to get educated.

What a sad comment haha.

But fair enough, that's your opinion.

That being said, this is science fiction, even though it includes some actual science and actual theories in there, most of it is painted over by that Hollywood gloss.

I believe Chris said something about giving the audience what he thought would be an entertaining answer to some of those questions we have about the universe, and in every respect he got that just right in my opinion.

I cringe at how much hate this movie is getting simply because people don't like the name Christopher Nolan.
The duration of the movie was alright. I honestly wish it would've gotten 10 more minutes or so around the end to show us some more, but that's just me, I'm sure most people would want it to be shorter.

The acting was phenomenal from Matt, Anne and Mckenzie. Lots of potential in that girl.
I thought Hatheway's character Brand was very well designed, the way her theory about love actually managed not to wind up cheesy, is amazing in its own right, but the character itself was just a strong female character which we sorely need in cinema these days.

Personally I thought the movie was pretty good, I dont think it's as mind blowing as some of my friends make it out to be. Also if you liked it you should know that there is a comic that takes place before the movie. http://www.wired.com/2014/11/absolute-zero/
