i don't own one, but yes I have shot a few and have been out shooting targets and clay pigeons before. My dad owns a gun store so it's not a massive hassle for me to get my hands on one. I've been on outings with him and his friends, and it's good fun.

Nah. The law influences what gun I get and unfortunately it also prevents me from currently owning any firearm at all. I do want to buy a single barrel shotgun one day though.

I dislike the large number of Desert Eagles shown in anime. The reason why militaries don't actually use it is because it weighs too much and has too much recoil for rapid, well-aimed follow-up shots. A 9mm or .40 or .45 can easily take someone down and you can carry way more ammo. I like shooting, but anime has had no influence in what I would want to use because they tend to go for flashy or weird-looking guns like Desert Eagles and Skorpions.

I currently own a Bushmaster AR-15, Remington 700 .308, Yugo model SKS, and a SIG p226 9mm. I used to own a few more but I sold them and just haven't bought anymore yet. I'm not a hunter but target shooting is my favorite hobby. I've never wanted to buy a firearm because of an anime but if I could get something like what Vash the Stampede uses I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Fireearms are too loose, too random. I'd rather have a non-ranged weapon to defend myself with, as one has more control over those.

A firearm is only as loose and random as the one wielding it. Like any other weapon its effectiveness is only as good as the user.
