I love Kirino (Oreimo) and Sora (Yosuga), too.
But, I got into the imouto genre because of Ako and Riko. Even if they were a year older than Keita.

technically only one of them is an imouto. I am not sure which though. I am guessing Ako is the older one.

First don't use a slang term and expect everybody to know what it is. I had to google imouto to find out what it is. But since I am ancient nearly ALL the anime characters could be my little sister. But I will list two that, if they were real, I'd have a lot of protective feelings toward.

Yui Mikoze

Yui (SAO)

but imouto isn't slang. it is a name for little sister in japanese

What language is this board in? Where do most of the members live? Is it really too much to ask that the language of the board be used rather than showing off and using foreign words?

I might be the only one who was confused. I knew about the words for big brother and big sister and I guess I was thinking Onee-chan would have been little sister and not imouto. I'm sorry I was so grumpy. BAAAAAAAAAAD day.

Damn... I almost want to change my answer to Ringo, but I'll settle for her being my second or third favourite.

Hence the title, and why I love it so much.

Consider it a "You must be at least this knowledgeable about anime" test.

As you pointed out in your previous response, a quick trip to Google gave you the answer, and you picked up some knowledge you didn't have before in the process.

Keep in mind CR deals in subtitled anime, so most people that have been here for any length of time have heard that word plenty of times, and have seen it in a number of series titles of upcoming series (before any English version of the same title was announced, assuming one was provided).

No wait, she was their "mother" not their "sister" but still their "lover"...............

Leafa and Kirino did interesting things with the imouto char.

However, gotta give a shout out to Astro Boys' imouto.

And Roll.

I only learned that word a little while ago after having watched anime and crunchyroll for years. And to this day it still gets in my nerves when people use words like imouto, oniichan, etc. But I've learned to ignore it and just go with the flow.
