Spiders can penetrate any fortress unless it's air tight, then it's a waiting game.

Robots are immune to poison and could be made to easily clear webbing both from themselves and the environment.

What if the webbing is inside themselves?
They'd have to dismantle each other to beat the spiders.

Right, they'd have to be able to either clear themselves of webbing automatically (maybe pneumatic hoses installed at their important joints) or they'd need to be able to dismantle one another.

Edit: Someone said diplomats.

Mabe use an internal jet of air.

what's wrong with diplomats? They can make friends with anyone and even turn their enemies against each other or themselves.

^ Well, nothing. It's just that when I think of an "army of diplomats" I usually think of a crowd of lawyers suing the crap out of peoples' opponents. It's a totally different sort of war, but no less effective in the long run provided a system of law remains in place.

Edit: For example, the army of diplomats could take the country manufacturing the robots to court and (through very clever use of international law) establish a legally binding order demanding that manufacturing immediately cease.

That's the idea. The catch is that if the spiders could somehow block that pneumatic hose with their webbing that method wouldn't work anymore and the robots could have their joints locked. Whatever spiders started spinning webbing into the hoses would probably die, but they come in such large hordes and lack a sense of fear, so they probably wouldn't hesitate.

It'd be an interesting fight.

If you have about 10x more archers than your enemy has soldiers then that tends to work. After that it's just strategy - although better equipped troops tend to win a fight more often. Huge armies are just kind of my thing.

Robots could be easily destroyed by EMP. with Nuclear electromagnetic pulse weapons (NEMP) and Nonnuclear electromagnetic pulse weapons (NNEPM) reboots would be useless

You can shield against that kind of thing, but the blast would leave the robots in tatters. Besides, the idea of spiders carrying ICBM platforms on dense nets of webbing is strangely hilarious and awesome. They're wearing little hats and uniforms in my mind.

Robots I'll be robot queen and get them to
turn me into a super cool Immortal cyborg.

Then we can take over the world and use uber cool space travel.
Then we could make Gundams. I'll have my own cool space ship.

I'm rambling at this point maybe
I got too excited?

Robots, if the idea of walking terminators doesn't scare the crap out of, you have some serious problems.

Come on guys. The best of the best. A small number of highly skilled, overpowered individuals can slaughter entire hordes of any kind of army. Don't you watch movies?! Wait. Scratch. Don't you watch anime?!
