Uh......... no............ if you want a sarcastic response you need to make a thread called "Which is your favorite thread about favorite anime girls?"

BTDT. That idea is so 20 hours ago.

I'm sure there's a law-of-ideas somewhere which describes that, the name which escapes me at the moment...

(That post reminds me of a post in a philosophy forum somewhere that ranked philosophy forum ranks... One of the ranks described my philosophical persona as "Snape"............)

Make more favorite threads until the forums have been taken over.
Favorite crunchybot thread
Favorite mod thread
Favorite CEO thread
Favorite corporate sponsor thread
Favorite forum category thread
Favorite sarcastic thread
Favorite general thread
Favorite just for fun thread
You just run with it, take it farther than those wimpy users could ever think of.
That would be sarcastic.

As much as I love anime and being an anime fan, some of you people have no sense of humor or fun at all. Like it's almost pathetic sometimes how if something isn't strictly anti-fun, it's seen as "stupid" or "annoying".

People who've got no sense of humor and are fuddy duddies are the real stupid and annoying ones. You know the kind. Go to a party, and they sit in the corner crying alone because everybody is happy and having fun, and they shouldn't be because fun is for "normies".

A lot of times I sense a feeling of being jaded when it comes to people like this.

Not a sarcastic reply, but how about creating a separate forum for such contests? The first few threads of those type were insanely popular and people loved them. Maybe a separate forum or a way to spotlight one per month.

The allure of user generate content is a great way to bring in potential subscribers. I'd up my subscription for another few years if that was the case.

My .02.

Alternatively, you could rickroll everybody who clicks on one of the links.

This pertain mostly to how the community works here in crunchyroll. The thing about content being outside the main area is basically the death sentence for those things. Putting things outside of "General" or "Anime" pretty much loses its allure.

To add, the belief that there is some kind of attention for those content is what also drives the activity. Putting them in the dead zone will pretty much kill it.

The contest threads and their patrons have figured out the formula of driving up the forum activity post-purge crunchyroll from a couple of years back. What is being seen here is kind of a statement of what the people want to do.

Might be an overreaction if the mods do something at this moment rather than seeing how this pans out. It is probably be better to let the steam out rather than the mods buzzkilling everyone. (This time around mods are playing with paying customers rather than kiddies who are just hanging around the forums.(

Ah, that's a good point. Hadn't thought about that.

More activity is always good for crunchyroll. More activity means more profit for crunchyroll.

I don't much agree with what is happening, but I like it. I think that letting the users decide this time around would be a good exercise for crunchyroll.

Honestly, crunchyroll could be top tier for the Anime community, but it is kind of holding itself back too.

But... One surely sees how one complaint (the original poster of this thread) warrants another (your reply) which in turn warrants another (my reply)..............

It's spam, and the mods need to deal with it. Otherwise I fail to even see a point in having moderators in the first place.

Sorry, but it's a simple enough issue (people spamming threads to be annoying) with a simple fix (nuking them). If you fail to see that then you don't have what it takes to moderate a forum.

Yes and no. The people are certainly saying something; something that the marketing department should figure out. It is the mods' job to find the kind of happy medium to remedy without sacrificing the activity that arised from this.

Is it spam or free marketing? Hmmm. As a person who helps people with marketing with events, I say free marketing.
