Are there any anime characters that remind you of characters from Western cartoons, TV shows or movies?

Cornelius Alba from Kara no Kyoukai is what you would get if you mixed Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange and Willy Wonka...and the worst parts of them, I should add.

edit: I must be pretty obsessed with the Nasuverse if the first thing to go in my head isn't a huge character over while anime that are heavily influenced by the West -_-

I read Western as in the genre (cowboys, etc). XD In which case, Kirito should be the wandering hero of a western.

The cast of Big O are some bizarre combination of Batman and Blade Runner...with mechs.

I think Black Lagoon was set up to feel like a 80's action film, just more mature and with some actual characters and storylines that don't just center on the main character getting revenge.

Ah! I was trying to think of where I saw this concept. That was the scene I was thinking of haha. That anime does a lot of parodies.

Im not sure about any characters that remind me of any western characters, but Hol Horse from JoJo`s Bizarre Adventure:Stardust Crusaders seems like he would be in an actual ``Western`` type movie.
Y`know, pretty much being a cowboy and all.
He`s so awesome!
