Hi guys, so two days ago was my 18th birthday, and for the first time in all this years i wanted to spend some time with my family (precisely when i turned 18 ), and not with my friends which is weird but whatever. I wanted to go and watch a movie with my sister and cousin both girls, but the movie i wanted to see was rated R so my little cousin couldn't get in so i got mad and we went home... i was thinking about anime then pufff a good idea came to mind.
I said let me introduce them to anime with this beautiful movie Wolf Children

i felt kinda worried because i don't know how they may react to it but whatever. The point is that we were watching the movie and my big sister was crying and it wasn't even the end of the movie i felt weird because i didn't cried when i saw it the first time and my cousin was totally normal. The next day they told me that they loved that movie and i felt good about it.

let me know down below what you guys think about my 18 birthday choice.

Never seen Wolf Children

I like your idea though. My brother isn't into anime and I don't expect to get into it... BUT for Christmas I'm buying him season 1 and 2 of Case Closed. Seems like something he may enjoy. We'll see where it goes from there.

Happy birthday btw

I'd sooner they not be brainwashed repeating "I've got to watch more of this stuff."

Great movie and a great choice. Wolf Children is definitely one of those anime movies than anyone can enjoy, not just the big time Crunchroll user. And it makes me cry as well. My kids love it though they get something different out of it than I do as a parent, thinking about the parents and kids in the movie. Absolutely amazing movie, should have won best picture Oscar (not even anime category, just overall).

I showed my family and my cousins Wolf Children and they ended up crying afterwards as well. One of the best movies I've ever seen, animated or non. Perfect movie for introducing people to anime.
