Happy Belated Birthday. You are now the same age as me :D

Also, I stopped doing stuff for my birthday since I was 10 or 11. I don't really care that much about it either.

It's just a day like any other.

BUT,
It's an opportunity to dictate what everyone does for the day! Next year, Legoland, I think (I am a 28-year-old child.)

Yes overrated, I always forget it's my birthday until my mom texts me happy birthday. I havn't celebrated my birthday since I was 11. I'm in my twenties now.

Pointless to celebrate a day that marks you getting closer to death. What a downer.

I don't think that birthdays are over-rated in general.

I think whether or not celebrating your birthday is important or not is relative. I find as I get older that there isn't so much of an importance to do anything special on that day. When I was younger I was literally celebrating that my age went up, but now as I'm nearing 30 I realize that I don't want to celebrate the fact that the number is getting bigger. I don't necessarily want to be 30 years old. Not like I wanted to be 13 (Yay! I'm finally a TEENager!) or 16 (Yay! I can finally drive a car by myself!) or 21 (Yay! I can finally legally drink alcohol!) or 25 (Yay! My car insurance now officially gets cheaper!).

Birthdays used to be a lot more fun than they currently are. There were wrapped presents, genuine surprises, cake. Now it's like I have to plan everything for my own birthday. I understand the reasoning behind it. If I do the planning, at least it's where I want it to be; but it kinda takes the fun outta it.

Long story short. Birthdays used to be fun, exciting and awesome. Now they're just another day where I increase the number of my current age.

I usually don't do anything for my birthdays. I had a family get together on my 18th birthday and I maybe plan to do something for my 21st birthday but after that I say "just another day".

They are most definitely overrated. Cheers to one year closer to death. Being with friends and family is really fun, but i think the whole concept of birthdays is way too much.

You're a Glass-Half-Empty kind of guy, aren't ya? Lol.

I think birthdays become more overrated as you get older. If you're 20 (like it says) I would imagine birthdays can still be fun. At least depending on your current life-situation...

I wouldn't say that. Like i said it definitely is fun doing things on your birthday without a doubt, but celebrating you growing older just sounds kind of silly.

Haven't a had a party since I was 6 years old, was also a Pokemon themed party.
After that I realized....why the hell must money be wasted on a party when you can use it to buy something better?
So, that birthday was my last and hate whenever the idea of mine being celebrated comes up.
I gladly accept birthday cakes tho, I'm always up for cake.

As for seeing birthdays, love them in anime, because anime relationships are beautiful so seeing them together like that warms my heart.
