... Seriously, there are no rules saying how Shonen or Shoujo is supposed to look like. Its up to the artist.
Illustrations in respective categories are like that because of the people drawing them. You wouldn't expect a girls fantasy to have characters that look like they're war heroes or something, and vice versa. No one says you can't have beautiful characters in a manga based on war. Chobits for example, you wouldn't be able to tell it was a Seinen manga from the illustrations.

So just insert any elements of your own into your drawing. No one expects a perfect replica. Hope to see your work.

^When I draw I don't expect a perfect replica and to draw a Shojo or Shonen there are certain things you kinda have to include and not include. The words are kinda self-explanatory. If I draw something I expect it to radiate the same feeling I feel when I look at the original or else I just start over from scratch....XDXDXD

like extremely cute glowing bubbly airheaded girls? I get your point really, It's happened.

Well if that's what you want to capture try drawing the parts where the feeling radiates from, like say a megawatt smile or something. Always start with lineart, and use HB or 2B. I ran out of pencils before, 6B not fun to work with on lineart.

both...and guys r hard to make up for me. xD

^^ Well I mean you can't make a manga all serious looking and rough and call it a Shojo, vise versa. If you compare a Shojo and a Shonen together you'll see that there are very different in how you draw them.

To create shounen character drawing for sure! The drawing oftenly ended up being too shoujo. When i drew shoujo character, it ended up just fine.

they are both equally hard. for shoujo you need to concentrate on emotions a lot and need to be able to express the feelings of your characters well and clearly

where as shounen, it's more action so you'll need to concentrate on muscel movement and form more. who knows...

I can't personally say which one I feel is harder than the next. I've been trying to find a healthy balance between the two of them.

Be more versatile.

But if I had to pick, Shoujo is easier. Bigger eyes, more wispy details as opposed to solid lines and high contrasts you see in Shounen.
