I was just wondering has Anime or Gaming or even Manga affected your life in a big way at all. When i started getting into anime more seriously which was about two years ago i noticed i drifted away from certain things like tv. Gaming also when i first played online for the first time it was magical lol didn't go outside for a while just me and my friends and our games. Anime/Gaming/Manga have never affected my life in a bad way so i'm curious if it did in your's.

PS. i dont know if this was already a topic before if so please link it down below..Thank You

I believe that anime and gaming has effected everyone in some way. I mean when i think about it i wouldn't even know half the people i do now if it wasn't for anime. Also the same goes for gaming, all of my friends are gamers weather its PC or xbox/playstation

Anime and gaming sort of opened my eyes to more creative views and ideas. Both platforms throw you into a world that could never be achieved in real life. So, for those things to be able to open my mind and expand my creativity is amazing. Thats how its affected me.

Definitely.

They have been an enjoyed pass time. They have not, however, been the sole reason why I live. Sure, there have been some awesome franchises released which influenced me, but not in such a way that they significantly altered my life.

Yup. Buying
Crunchyroll membership,
VPNs, Torrents.
Learning encoding in for Gama radios (MKV to MP4),
Lending files to friends.
buying few statues.
Hiding that I like anime to know ones as relatives and classmates is hard.
Some animes have series critical thinking that left me wondering about life and stuff I like.

Most of the friends I have right now revolve around anime/manga/gaming stuff that I'm into. I've met a lot of them through the figure community or through the gaming community. I couldn't imagine how insanely different my life would be without it.

I feel like it's made me a better person... like really influenced my personality (besides those close to me as well). I've seen so many anime and "met" so many characters, so I feel like it's influenced my college major (psychology) just as much as my family has. Most anime teach you a life lesson, and since I've seen so many, I feel like I've learned a lot from relationships and how a person's mind works. I believe that a lot of anime watchers and gamers are very creative and/or intellectual, so for people who say these things are just for kids, they don't know because they don't do it. And I watch less TV too... mostly YouTube or anime online xD

not in a big way, but it's given me insight on how other people might see life, morals, and other situations. it made me appreciate artists more. fell in love with animation styles and i'm inspired by a lot of them.
