For sure, whenever i was in a bad mood or something was going on in my life i had anime to cheer me up, laugh and cry.

Anime has taught me patience, to just sit down and pay attention.
Manga has made me read way more, and appreciate different art styles.
Video games on the other hand, didn't do squat, if anything, they screwed my grades over more than anything else during middle school.

It has. It pretty much introduced me to Japanese culture to a point. Has made me love most anything Japanese including the language. Anime anything has pretty much become my hobby. It also introduced me to some great people within the community. Honestly I'm much happier now than before Anime.
