People are really sad by the amount of deaths in a series and are mad about it. I take it you've never ever heard of or seen/read Basilisk, the epitome of sadness and feels.

Is this a competition to see which series kills off the most characters now? I nominate Attack on Titan. Although proportionally from starting cast, I nominate Shinsekai Yori.

Hasn't Dragonball Z killed more people? Wait, do aliens count?

Goku alone accounts for a lot of those deaths.

I think we're only counting main character deaths. Because otherwise DBZ would likely easily win since everyone on Earth was killed by buu along with half the galaxy prior to that, planet vegeta was destroyed, etc.

I think some plot happened because the dragonballs were being overused

Too many MC deaths, rezzing em all those times

I have seen Basilisk and I love(d) it. Honestly I think I agree with Basilisk > Akame ga Kill!. Mainly because I liked more members of both sides in Basilisk than I do in AgK.

Guess how many characters die in Basilisk?

Also the main villain in Basilisk in my opinion makes the Chancellor in AKG look like a kitten.

Basilisk is like the fusion of romeo and juliet with hamlet.

except not as good as either of them individually or combined.
