What would you think if Texas got more pre-lay (i.e. video games and cartoons) work?

With the debut of Rooster Teeth's RWBY (the first cartoon to have its voices recorded in Texas), the very positive fan reaction on SMITE's voice cast for having it done in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area, and the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, maybe it's time that I conduct a poll on what would happen if Texas got more pre-lay (i.e. video games and cartoons) work, considering how the prices are cheaper and that there are less hassles to deal with the unions due to the state's Right-To-Work laws.

Honestly I thought RWBY's voice acting sucked >.> I actually stopped watching it 8 episodes in because the voice acting hurt. RT has always had "decent" VA's and RWBY just felt like a bunch of middle schoolers reading from a script. IMO Red V Blue Episode 1 had better voice acting than anything displayed in RWBY.

Can't comment on borerlands because it's not my cup of tea and I haven't played anything but a borrowed copy of the first one half way through.

Less union almost always = better quality though so you might be onto something there.

Well, the reason why RWBY's voice acting isn't that good is because Rooster Teeth hasn't taken advantage of the sizable talent pool that Austin offers. Back in the days of ADV, ADV dubbed numerous titles in Austin until 2005. As a matter of fact, the majority of the voices in DC Universe Online (2011) were done in Austin. If Rooster Teeth used actual talent for RWBY as opposed to whatever they're using, then the voice acting would be a lot better.

Well, there are other Pre-lay games that are recorded in Texas besides Borderlands, such as SMITE, Orcs Must Die, Brothers in Arms, the first two Deus Ex games, Comic Jumper, etc.

Where's Texas? Some spider infested island, no doubt.

As a Texan, I chuckled at that for some reason. You and your spiders, son.

Isn't it that island below Florida people are always coming up from? I hear one even became Governor.
