Out of curiosity, how many of you guys skip recap episodes?

I do so, myself since I don't really feel like it's worth my time and I can't sit through it either. Main reason I had an issue with Sword Art Online: Extra Edition.

Does anyone else do this?

Not me. If i don't watch it all, it doesn't count. I've never seen Bleach.

God yes, I just can't. I remember me and my friend (rarely watches anime) were anticipating a new episode for AoT and It happened to be the recap needless to say we were both pissed and after that he stopped watching...

I think I have seen a few, but I usually skip 'em.
They are just really boring to me.

Extra Edition actually had new (though non-canon) content so it was slightly worth watching. Most recaps arent anything special but every now and then theres a series with an amazing recap episode. The Legend of Korra just had one of those, surprisingly.

I normally skip them. They've always sort of annoyed me, even as a kid. I remember being quite annoyed when they had a recap in Sailor Moon between R and the arc that introduced Uranus and Neptune.
But I'm also the kind of person that finds recaps at the start of episodes to be unnecessary. I remember what happened last episode, you don't need to remind me.

Though I tend to watch them for Avatar stuff. I'm not a huge fan of Ember Island Players, but more because it was very awkward and less because it was a recap. If all recaps were written and directed by Varrick, as in the last part of the Korra recap, I think I'd watch all recap episodes. That bit was hilarious.

They're probably are a waste of time, for the most part, but I still watch them.

It depends on how much is added. One that pops to mind is the fourteenth episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The first half of the episode was pretty much a clip show recap, but it also had several interesting caveats of new information that could be discerned from it. Of course it worked so well simply because there were individuals giving an in character insight into past events.

It depends. I usually do, just because I have nothing better to do or they may bring up some key incidents that I forgot about. But there were a few I really didn't care enough about to watch, so I just skipped them. I have to say though, I loved Kill La Kill's recap episode.

It usually depends, but 90% percent of the time, yes yes i do, 1 show did recaps best, not really an anime, last airbender, like a few episodes before the finale, had a big recap done in the most original way watching, a stage play of them selves, from the enemy's point of view , if only more shows would do it this way

If there's new content added alongside the recap, yes. If it's just a clip show with no significant developments, no.
